I am sick of being told that I am not ';constantly'; checking ';learning'; and that I am ';leading'; the lesson, instead of allowing students to lead the lesson. Surely I am paid to teach. Were I to prepare the range of activities that the observers demand, each 90 minute lesson would take 20 hours to prepare --- help. I am teaching physics to 16 year old boys.Where can I find good advice on preparing a lesson for an OFSTED observation?
post this on the science forum / board of the www.tes.co.uk website. As loads of teachers read it be sure to not give away your identity with details in your question.
This is a major problem with teaching-- the length of time needed to prepare lessons.
