Can any advice me how to turn on wireless conectivity on a laptop?

My ISP is Virgin %26amp; they supplied me with a router and some technical advice on its set up but they are unable to assist me in turning on my laptops wireless connectivity (using ethernet cable at the moment). Therefore I would be grateful for some advice : operating system is `Vista` and its a `Amilo Notebook Li3710/Li3910` Fujitsu Siemans. Thanks. Can any advice me how to turn on wireless conectivity on a laptop?
Press and hold the Fn button then press F1 and release both buttons.

Read the manual that came with the computer. This information is on page 49.Can any advice me how to turn on wireless conectivity on a laptop?
There's probably a switch on the side of the laptop to disable or enable it. You also need to make sure it's enabled in the device manager - Right Click My Computer %26gt; Manage %26gt; Device Manager %26gt; Network Adapters. If there is a red X on it then right click and press Enable, you can also try reinstalling the driver.

Before you do this however, make sure you actually have a wirless network going on, so either check with another wireless enabled device for the network (iPhone, iTouch another computer with a working wireless card and see if it works) if it doesn't, go online into

192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

put in the username and password written on the bottom of the router, you can try admin and password or Virgin and 1234, go into wireless settings and fill out the network name, password, etc...
