What advice would you give me how to interact with my mental health worker?

I have been visiting with a community mental health worker for two years, on average once a week. What advice would you give me on how to steer this arrangement in the right direction?

I have been in the mental health system for five years. I had a temporary internship position in the local tax office and my boss told me that I was staring into space and that I was sick. My employer referred me to a psychiatrist and to a public health psychotherapist. The psychiatrist said that I had a psychosis and he settled on a treatment of a small daily dosage of Haldol, the anti psychotic. The psychotherapist said that I had a low level of thought disorder (a one out of ten on the scale of mental disorder). He consulted with me for two years, every three or four weeks. He withdrew from my case and the next year a new mental health worker started seeing me. She meets with me on average once a week, usually for coffee. What can I do with the present arrangement I have got? What advice would you give me how to interact with my mental health worker?
I would like to applaud you for continuing to go to therapy!! Sometimes when people have to change therapists, they quit going..... good for you!! :) Please let your therapist know your goals and expectations from therapy. I love the coffee idea..... not so ';institutional';! You might want to suggest that your therapist give you some homework.... this means that you can, on a daily basis, grow and understand your disorder. Good luck to ya and best wishes!! :)What advice would you give me how to interact with my mental health worker?
Be honest with your new worker and tell her that.If you don't feel that your treatment is working for you. Tell her what you want from your treatment plan. She cant read your mind so this will be a great step in your relationship with her. Good Luck
How is the treatment plan working for you from your previous case worker? If it is going good just keep being honest and stay with the new worker. If it isn't working tell her and just be honest.
honesty is always the best policy. you didn't say wether you like or dislike the arrangement or why you would like it changed.
Just be honest.
