Advice ..?

i put down my roomate as a refernce to this new job .. she used to be my supervisor at my old work And we live together now.. And i told her how much i want it and she said it was fine to use her as one.. but i got a text today saying'; at the same time i cant really give her a good reference because well'; and i was like '; what?'; and she told me it was about her other friend and she meant to send it to soemone else.. This was the same day the lady had called everyone about this job.. If She does give ma bad reerence do you think she was wrong to lie or to you think she doing this for another reason ?Advice ..?
I was asked by a person who wished to put me down for a reference just today and I responded with a ';Yes.'; To me, that means I would give a good reference for this person or otherwise I would have told this person to not list me down as a reference. It's implied, by me agreeing to be used as a reference, that I will give a favorable reference. This woman is wrong! It appears she has lied to you. You need to confront her and get this out in the open. I suppose a mistake could happen but it seems doubtful. I feel this woman is not being honest about her intentions. There could be several reasons for these tactics such as wanting the job for herself, wanting you to move out, changing her mind about giving you a good reference, backstabbing personality, etc.etc., but you should certainly get to the bottom of this issue so you will know where you stand with this relationship.Advice ..?
Your friend is a sneaky sneaky stab you in the back individual.I would find another place and roommate. You cant live with someone you dont trust. As for the job you could of put down a reference for anyone that will show you of as being a person thats comptent and in good character
Maybe its something privacy that she don't want to show it to anyone
Maybe she's wanting to get the same job
I don't get you, I'm sorry.

All I can say is that it's never justified to lie about anything.
