The company I work for will bought in few yrs when the owner retires. Any advice for a 10 1/2 yr employee?

I'm a Production Manager for a medical device manufacture. Started @ 18 and worked my way up to management. Now @ 29 I don't have but a few community college classes under my belt.

You should always be looking for and preparing for your next job (opportunity).

The lack of a degree will make it tougher for you.

However I would hope that you have developed contacts in the industry. Your ';old boy network'; and contact list are an important asset in you future.

Time to get started preparing now.The company I work for will bought in few yrs when the owner retires. Any advice for a 10 1/2 yr employee?
Buy the business. It would be a great opportunity for you. Discuss the possiblities with the owned, maybe you can work out a deal. You never know until you ask. Good luck.
