Can anyone suggest a resource that offers models or advice for writing biographical notes?

I have retired and after some transition time I am beginning a new creative project that integrates and draws on my experience(s). I need to prepare biographical notes that are not written like a resume (and are not as boring). Any suggestions or website or other resources where I might get some ideas would be helpful. Can anyone suggest a resource that offers models or advice for writing biographical notes?
There are a number of books about writing available in most libraries and bookstores. It's possible some of them might have a section specifically on biographical notes, or more likely something along the line of how to turn your life experiences into articles, essays, etc. There are also a number of correspondence courses one can take on how to turn your lifetime experiences into stories, articles, etc. For the names of places that offer courses check ';The Writer'; magazine or ';The Writers Digest.'; They're on the magazine stands in most bookstores. There's also a Christian writers magazine called ';The Christian Communicator.'; Google ';American Christian Writers'; if you're interested in it.
