thanks! What advice can you give to do in the Lake District ?
Take a raincoat and/or umbrella. Cumbria is lovely in summer but it's still England which means if it's not raining right now, it soon will be :)What advice can you give to do in the Lake District ?
Lake district is such a beautiful place.

Here are some suggestions of things to do:

- Walk or hike (have a proper clothes and boots though)

This is what Lake District is famous for. Lake District is so beautiful and picturesque, wherever you walk, you'll always have one of those money shots photograph as seen on postcards!

You can do an easy walk around the lake, some of the view points or do a full whole day hiking with expert skills required. There're A LOT of walking and hiking trails. You can do waterfalls walk, or up the mountain hike or through the Strudding edge. Drive to lake district and go to their information centre, they'll suggest walking treks based on your interest and skills. You can also purchase Lake District walking books fully equiped wiht maps :). Around Conniston is quite nice too and Ullwater.

Other than walking, here are some more activites:

- Take a lake cruise from windermere.

- Visit the famous Sarah Nelson Gingerbread shop in Grasmere. The best Gingerbread I've ever tasted, expect the queues during summer hehe...Grasmere itself is such a cute little town with lots of galleries and cafes.

- Ambleside is another town worth visiting, there're also walking paths and trails here. Lots of nice pubs and make sure you visit Lucy's of Ambleside for a culinary lunch experience which you can also book a cooking class or Lucy4 for tapas like dinner :).

- Go to Saturday Outdoor market at Keswick (or in Kendal town where they have an indoor market, Kendal is a bigger town)

- Visit the Stonecircle near Keswick (the oldest stone formation - similar to stonehenge)

- Visit Beatrix Potter House

- Visit Hawkshead relish factory

- Go Trout Fishing

- Go to visit a mine, they also provide a guided walking of the miners back in the old days so you can experience what the miners experienced back then.

- Drink :-) - as there're lots of nice pubs in Lake District

- Buy Books then read it and relax :-)
dont get lost!!!! thats all i know!

enjoy your trip!! xx
