Any advice for a teenager looking to get rid of stubborn stomach fat?

Many teens in the world are struggling with losing that access fat around their bodies. As for me, I am 5'8 and about 145 pounds. Any tips on how to lose the handful of fat on my stomach and tone my body?Any advice for a teenager looking to get rid of stubborn stomach fat?
Eat food as close to it's natural state as possible. (Ex. veggies, fruits, beans, seeds, eggs, lean meat/not beef jerky or sandwich meats.) You don't want all those additives, preservatives, fats, food dyes, etc. They mess with your metabolism and toxify your body.





Rule of thumb: If it comes in a wrapper, (meaning it's processed,) don't eat it!





I would also limit cheese and meat since those are fattening and you can get your calcium and protein from other sources, like leafy greens, and quinoa.





Just eat a little less than what you normally do, the goal is to not feel stuffed, just full. Eat many small meals throughout the day to keep the metabolism high and burning. You won't have to count calories, and you will lose weight. Do not starve yourself!! Starvation mode makes you lose muscle and makes you gain fat. When you eat again, your body will hoard fat and your lost muscle will be replaced by fat. Muscle is metabolically active and burns calories even while you are resting, so losing muscle from starving is detrimental. Also you become a skinny fat person, that looks disgusting because there is no muscle tone.








If you get cravings, think of what it is you're craving: texture, taste?





For example, you crave sweets. Eat fruit. Or drink vanilla almond milk. Or eat butternut squash or sweet potatoes.





Or if you crave something salty, have nuts, or have tomatoes or cucumbers with salt.





Crunchy, have nuts or seeds





These are just some examples. If you crave chocolate, eat the 85% dark chocolate. You will get tons of antioxidants, and more chocolate to satisfy your craving with less junk.





Do not drink pop, even diet pop. Diet foods are evil and all the artificial sweeteners WILL make you gain weight. Studies have proven this.





Also, spot reducing does not work. You cannot spot reduce. Your body type might either be a pear, apple, hourglass, or rectangle. Losing weight will only make you a smaller version of that body type. ';Spot reducing'; exercises like squats will only build up the muscle and make it bigger, I suggest you balance out the problem by building up the muscles in the areas that you lack, making you more of an hourglass.





Also exercise, constantly challenge your body and you will lose weight! Don鈥檛 buy into the acai berry, special K, or colon cleanse scams. They鈥檙e scams scams scams!!Any advice for a teenager looking to get rid of stubborn stomach fat?
Do as many crunches as you can, if your not sweating then your not doing enough crunches. It is better to eat many small meals than one big meal, eating one big meal can cause you to get a big belly. If you don't get enough sleep or sleep at inconsistent times that can also cause you to have more belly fat. Try eating about 3 servings of protein everyday and not more than one of those should be high in fat such as chicken skin, red meat or eggs, that should help tone your belly (one serving is the size of your palm).





You sound like you already have an ideal weight for your height, so for the most part your diet should be fine as it is. I'm the same height and weight as you and do about 300 crunches on average everyday, although I don't have a six-pack my stomach is pretty well toned.
jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight


evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in


specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are


your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have


to work double on them. The best approach is this:


1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal


weight, lower for overweight).


2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.


3. Target your problem areas with exercises.


an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a


stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,


for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure


that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you


will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your


body back, until it's parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and


move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add


to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,


guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six


pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these


crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT


ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

5. go to the gym and never ever say ill start my diet tomorrow start now and plz dont write back saying ';u r a nub im going to get my rs character up to lvl 136'; got a girl do it for her dont start working out to get one another motivation you can run faster from muggers when you get skinnier sad thing is that y ask for help you know what to do theres no such thing as get skinny quick plan ok so make sure you get skinny it might take months or years but as long as you become skinny by 22 you are fine and right now dont say awesome i have another 4 years to begin you begin now the faster you get skinny the easier it will be got 2 go do my hw and in your mind dont tell me but im not the fattest in my class well why be compared with the worst be compared with the best


you will never be skinny if you continue to eat hamburger fries salads with lots of dressing just let them be plain salads and if you start eating so much healthy stuff you become fat dont do that either i think you have the same prob as me keep eating just not to much and sweets on occasions and those occations cant be really sweet only a little or else you will get fatter WOW thats a lot of rules well you should do fine if you follow this thank you good luck
Stay active but dont over exaust your self. After school basket ball with the boys is fun for example. Make sure that home work is done!


***Try to stay away from fast food.*** Baked or grilled chicken and fish is pretty healthy. Lots of fruits and vegetalbles and plenty of water. Dont want to become dehydrated from being active. Its pretty simple just stick to it and reward your self with healthy snacks that interest you.





Avoid high sugar, fatty and salty snacks, such as candy and soda pop.








The following snacks will help fill you up and keep you going until your next meal. Many can be pre-packaged the night before:





Simple Healthy Snack Ideas are :


Apple slices spread with peanut butter and sprinkled with raisins.


Banana sliced in half and spread lightly with peanut butter.


Bean burger on a whole-grain bun with lettuce and tomato.


Bean burrito.


Black bean dip with whole-grain crackers.


Cheese toast (whole grain bread with low-fat cheese).


Cut-up vegetables with low-fat ranch dressing.


Edamame (steamed Japanese soybeans).


Hummus on a whole-wheat pita.


Low-fat yogurt with a tablespoon of chopped walnuts.


Oatmeal made with low-fat milk with strawberries.


Peanut butter and banana sandwich on whole-grain bread. (Use half a banana and spread the peanut butter lightly.)


Popcorn without butter (sprinkle with Parmesan cheese).


Red grapes and string cheese.


Rice cakes spread lightly peanut butter (spread lightly).


Serving of almonds and dried cranberries or blueberries.


Slice of cheese or veggie pizza.


Small bagel with low-fat cream cheese.


Soy nuts and string cheese.


Soymilk smoothie.


String cheese and whole-grain crackers.


Trail mix (measure one serving).


Tuna sandwich on whole-grain bread.


Turkey and low-fat cheese sandwich on whole grain bread with lettuce and tomato.


Vegetable soup with whole-grain crackers.


Whole-grain cereal with low-fat milk.


Whole-grain English muffin spread lightly with peanut butter.





Here is an easy to do snack that I like.


Pyramid Tortilla Recipe


1 8-inch tortilla


2 ounces thin sliced turkey or ham


2 Tablespoons shredded cheese


1/4 cup shredded lettuce


1 Tablespoon raisins


Lowfat mayonnaise, cream cheese, or margarine





Take a tortilla. Spread it with mayonnaise, margarine or cream cheese. Then layer on the meat, cheese, lettuce and raisins. Roll up and enjoy.





This snack could also be made using a slice of bread or an English muffin. I love it. It took the place of my Pizza craving.

If you had the fat cells removed from your stomach your body would store it elsewhere, hips, thighs and back. Your genetics have a lot to do with where it is stored when your sick or in an accident its those fat stores that keep you alive. Your not huge your 5'8'; tall and my guy when he was that height had his ribs showing at 145. Check with your doctor about your obsession.
You about the same as me. I am 5'6'; and weigh 134lbs. And I am not very fat at all, so you might not want to worry about it too much, but if your really concerned about it, just change your lifestyle. Your too young to go on a diet, but you do need do stop eating junk food, chips, cookies, soda, diet soda, and FAST FOOD. And then just run for about 15-20 minutes a day and do about 20 situps a night. I used to weigh 142lbs but I lost 8lbs in about a month doing what I told you to do. Good luck!
A 10-20 minute abs-only workout once a day will help you see results within a few months. Try crunches, sit-ups, and leg-lifts. Yoga is also a great way to tone your entire body... butt, stomach, and thighs.





Make sure you change your diet as well. Avoid fats, carbs (wheat bread is OK, no white), and processed sugars. No sodas or juices.
Eat a healthy diet. Start doing crunches, this will build muscle. but right after start doing some cardio work, like jogging, cycling etc. the cardio will help burn the fat. Also by building muscle in your stomach first, muscle burns fat quicker than just trying to do cardio alone.

i would just try to eat healthier foods and try to go for a run every other day or so but if u really arnt much of a runner i would start because it really does help. i go to the gym everyday with my friend n we work out for like n hour n its fun to start working out with your friends it really helps i lovve going to the gym wit people i knw
calculate ure bmi first to check ure are overweight first u cna do this by typing in on the internet BMI CALCULATOR or get a wii fit game to calculate it for you. If u r overweight then go on da weight watchers diet it really works.
watch what you consume. water instead of soda, grilled instead of fried. you can try simple workouts such as doing some sit ups, going out for a jog, or playing sports with friends. but you have to stay consistent.
im 16 and over the holidays i gained some Weight..lol


well im starting to make me some natural juices from a juicer machine thing.. and so far it actually makes me get full faster than usual and also drinking green tea acceleratess your metabolism
Do it very gradually and be patient. Exercise regularly and be watchful of what u eat, eat things in moderation.
abdominal fat is hard to loose...simple plan...cut back on calories and exercise....also not easy to do but if your motivated you can do it.

play BASKETBALL or take TAEKWONDO
What I do was tuck a 10 pound medicine ball behind my head and do my crunches and sit-ups!
hhmm you actually pretty light for a 5'8 so id recomend some crunches and sit ups ab work muscle stuff not weight loss

go on a diet and work out a lot.
swimming is good coz it tones up multiple areas at once
