Need advice for couscous and lemon?

My housemate is cooking a couscous dish for our barbeque tomorrow and heard of a recipe where you don't use water or broth to add to the couscous, just lemon juice. All of the receipes I've found so far mention lemon juice in addition, not instead of. Has anyone else heard of this and if so, do you have a recipe to recommend?Need advice for couscous and lemon?
You are right about the lemons being used as an addition to the couscous. I have never heard of it just cooked in lemon juice but anything is possible. I guess you would just use the same amount of lemon juice as you would any other liquid but it sounds very tart to me.Need advice for couscous and lemon?
You are right about the couscous needing water or stock. Just lemon juice would be inedible! It would burn your delicate insides from mouth to ....

I am glad I am not coming if that is what your friend is making.
I agree with Jackie, lemon juice alone might be too tart.

Suggestion: do a trial amount (say a tablespoon) in only lemon juice, then make a judgement.
yes, normally you just cook it in water, then add the lemon after.
