Can anyone give advice on being a pregnant emotional rollercoaster?

Im driving my boyfriend crazy! Im so emtional like night and day! Crying getting frustrated easily and taking everything so personally. I need some balance but my body is going through so much in my first trimester. This is my second child. My first child is eight I dont remember feeling so coo coo! Maybe i just forgot. Can anyone give advice on being a pregnant emotional rollercoaster?
You know... I sympathize with you. Right now my husband is driving me crazy, and then when I can't take anymore and burst into tears, he gives me a lecture about what I am doing wrong to him, and blah blah blah. That probably has something to do with the no sex rule from my doctor, but I really don't care. I am the one going through this and he should understand it. But you know something, men don't completely understand, and I don't think many ever will. You are going through so much emotionally and physically, and you have the right to be a little crazy. Sit back and relax a little, whenever possible. I truly know it's hard. But lose yourself in something that will take your mind off everything and help pass the time. The internet is good for that, and puzzle books, or hobbies. I wouldn't suggest the t.v. that usually always leaves me crying about a silly commercial or something. Congratulations on your pregnancy, hang in there. Best wishes to you and your boyfriend. Tell him to relax. It will all be worth it in the end. Sorry I couldn't be more help. But if it seems like you are feeling depressed and it's affecting you more than normal make sure to bring it up to your doctor. My 3rd pregnancy I had to take medication right after delivery of my son because of my wacky hormone levels. They sent me into post partum depression. That really sucks. Crying in the hospital to the nurse because I couldn't decide which thing I wanted for dinner. I laugh about it now, but it isn't fun when you are going through it, and it's good for your doctor to know ahead of time. Best wishes again... take care! Can anyone give advice on being a pregnant emotional rollercoaster?
look in the first trimester all women are like that i flipped so many times. i admit i tend to overreact to but in all fairness it obviously bothers you if x,y and z happens and you have to let that frustration out. when you are calm i would explain to your partner what is happening and that afterwards you feel sorry but sometimes you cant help it. i found it really hard not to throw a wobbler, what i did was i just left the house and returned a while later when i had things in perspective. your man should be doing his upmost to settle you and calm you down but lets face it men are oblivious to that notion.
It's very normal for you to feel this way..when you start to feel upset just stop a second, and tell yourself, ';I'm pregnant, it's my hormones, and getting stressed out isn't good for baby'; and maybe that will help!

Good luck! I know how it feels! haha

I stuff mine with a cooked chicken and ricotta cheese filling and top with a cheese/white sauce, placed in the oven to melt and brown the top. Serve with a side of spinach or a green salad and fresh bread. For a recipe go to FoodNetwork. com/RachelRaye.

Can anyone give me some advice?

I want to replace my old bathroom suite with a one? Can any give me tips? I've heard that it is very easy to do.Can anyone give me some advice?
With no offense meant at all; I haven't heard the word Suite used for a bathroom in many years. what exactly are you looking to do? Toilet is a word I recognize, as is Vanity,Sink, Bathtub, Shower.

Have you room enough for a lounge? Or other pieces to accesorize with? A garden tub perhaps or Jacuzzi? A Bidet?

The Plumber offers some great suggestions, and without a few details it might be difficult to give you exact answers. I've remodeled a lot of bathrooms in my time; but most often it's a personal thing with the customer stating what they'd prefer.

Steven WolfCan anyone give me some advice?
it is fairly easy.. just rip out the old , after you have turned off both hot and cold water, put new one in and reconnect water and waste, make sure u get the angle of the bath ok or the water will not flow away, you may need to retile, touch up etc with silicon sealer, if u dont know plumbing , get an expert in and dont fiddle with summat u dont know about , tradesmen do courses which cost a lot of money and takes years of experience if in any doubt whatsoever get a plumber! or you WILL be dissappointed!! lol
Firstly, I notice that you have not mentioned how much you are prepared to pay for a New Bathroom Suite (we all know what you mean; Bath, Pedestal Wash basin %26amp; W.C.)

They range from say 拢200-1000. We all know plumbers charge too much but you have to set this against getting into a mess by being a novice and possibly being without the use of the items.

Most modern bathrooms are too small so to remove and install the bath you have to remove the the other items first.

A proper plumber would do the job in a day and would charge, I suggest, 拢400 for labour only. Therefore step 1 is to ask two or three plumbers to give you a quote for installing the items which you are buying.

When you have the figures you can start pondering.

Also do you have all the tools? Do you know what tools you need?

Now you also have to consider this:- the person who installed the bathroom items you now have may not have done such a good job after all. In the copper pipework some of the soldered joints may have been defective and when you start moving items around the solder loosens and that will mean leaking.

I would advise you to remember this; no skilled man calls a job easy. Whatever the job is it has to be done properly and this is where he uses his skill.

I am a lifetime DIY man and I am currently fitting out a replacement bathroom in my own property. I have all the tools necessary but my project involves walls, ceiling and flooring. My advice to you is to forget it because there are too many possible pitfalls - you will have them in your existing bathroom - lets call them ';a can of worms'; they are waiting for you to discover them.

I am not a Jonah but do beg you to heed my advice.
It is very easy, for me anyway, I have been fitting them for over 20 years, but I can usually tell the difference when I see a bathroom whether it was a professional or diy job, giveaways are usually visible pipework up to the sink with no uniformity, taps not straight, w/c cistern not back to the wall and the gap filled somehow, and tiles not evenly cut both sides, top and bottom (mark centre then work out cuts and fit the bottom cuts first, get them level and work from centre out to the edges. Then make sure the grout is even.
I fit bathroom full-time, Yes its easy to do it wrong.

To fit one well, that's a skilled job. Plus you need to know all the water regulations / earth bonding requirements / Etc.

Around half the job I undertake involve ripping out rotten floorboard or / and stud-walls due to diy jobs that have been leaking unknown to the occupier for years. Mostly poorly fitted baths with above the bath showers are the main culprit. plumbers can spot a diy job a mile off.
Fill bath with water and seal around it, when seal dries empty bath.

How do i silkscreen onto a shirt using a stencil? any tips or advice if the paint is not getting through?

are there any techniques/advice/tips to make the paint get through to the fabric? How do i silkscreen onto a shirt using a stencil? any tips or advice if the paint is not getting through?
Silkscreen work and stenciling are two different application techniques. Go to your local crafts store and talk to someone who's proficient at this type of work, or research clothing stenciling online.

What is the worst/stupiest advice someone has given you?

What is the worst or dumbest advice some one has given you on pregnancy or parenting? Or what is the stupidest thing you have ever heard when it comes to pregnancy and parenting? What is the worst/stupiest advice someone has given you?
My mother n law told me not to listen to the Dr's because they are all in to kill all of us!! She hates that i do everything that my kids Dr's tell me to do.. Even when my 2nd child was premature(10 weeks early) she told me that when he got home that he didn't need to be on any meds and demanded that i took him off them!!

And my sister n law tried to give me parenting advice when shes beats her kids and is about to get them taken away from her!!

My n-laws are CRAZY!! lolWhat is the worst/stupiest advice someone has given you?
When my son was being treated for his club foot and we were having issues with the casts on his foot causing blistering and bruising of the skin, so the casts had to be removed because he was screaming inconsolably and it was horrible! My soon to be SIL who is a total bltch, told me to leave the casts on and let him scream and to get myself a good set of earplugs. I told her she was a cold person and to please NEVER have children. It's always funny when a person that has no children gives parenting advice, obviously she could not fathom what it was like to see your one month old child in that kind of pain, heartbreaking. I cried with him alot of the time because it caused me such grief to see my little Caleb like that, and then I took the friggen casts off, got a second opinion and found out his sensitive skin was allergic to the casting and it would have to be dealt with when he was a little older and could have pain medication to get through it. Thank God I didn't let him suffer like the wicked witch told me to let him do.
Well i have a friend who has 1 child that is 9 months old whereas i have 3 children...She tries to tell me what having a young child in school is like, how i should wean my 8 mth old, what bottles %26amp; sippy cups to use, how to set a routine...It's like she forgets i have already done all of this twice before and this is my 3rd so if anything i should be the 1 giving her advice...she really gets on my nerves!!

I also was told on P%26amp;P by a bunch of women that i should refuse to give my then 4 mth old a bottle of formula and make him latch onto me instead...even though he refused to latch and i had barely any milk they insisted that i should pretty much starve him of his formula and when he get's hungry enough he will take the boob....
i havent gotten any bad advise thankfully but one thing that just kind of got on my nerves was when i was in between looking fat and looking preggers i was saying to my mother in law that i felt fat and didnt have alot of self confidence, and she was like ';it shouldnt matter what you think about yourself as long as you are keeping the baby healthy';...she was right in a way but it didnt really help me feel any better...lol
My son is adopted and came home as an infant from the hospital with us. I had people actually tell me ';well, now you'll get pregnant with one of your own';. I was not just angry over the statement as my child is MY child, but also shocked at their stupidity. I know what causes pregnancy- adoption has absolutely nothing to do with it.
That I better start my exclusively breast fed son on formula NOW so that it wouldn't be a shock for him if we had an emergency come up. I almost died laughing. It was like she thought it was totally necessary for him to know what it tasted like before he HAD to. I formula fed my first son except for the first 4 weeks, and I am so thrilled my second son is working out so well with nursing, I couldn't imagine throwing a monkey wrench into things now!
Almost any dvise is worthless if u dont see it urself it really depends on what it is.

I remember one time my son pooped %26amp; he accedently stuck his foot in it when i changed him %26amp; i took them off in the mall. I went to pay a bill %26amp; this old lady was like ';where is ur socks little man'; %26amp; i was having a bad day It was rather hot So i turn %26amp; told her if she would like to buy a pair i would happily put them on him
My friend's MIL insisted she would miscarry if she didn't wear socks.

When I told a friend she would have to smoke outside and explained that I had quit during pregnancy and stayed smoke free for the health of my son, she told me I should start again. Can anyone guess what I told her she should do?
My sil told me to just get a c-section, it's way easier than giving birth! Even though she admits that they nicked her bladder and she's had problems ever since. Also that I have to take my son to the doctor every few weeks even though he is perfectly healthy. Some people just don't seem to have a brain.
Just little things hear and there like people trying to tell you what to eat and stuff like that. I respect the fact that people are just trying to be friendly and help, but usually it's just unneeded and goes in one ear and out the other
some old lady told me that if I keep my baby's sex a secret, i will be cursed to poo on the delivery table! I was in such shock that all i could do was laugh. I mean, who says that??? lol
almost every response on this forum ..I come here to entertain myself since jerry springer geniuses are no longer on tv ..they are all here
    the heartburn thing...

I you have lots of heartburn you will have a baby with lots of hair!

I didn't have too much heartburn but had two little girls with tons of hair!

Can anybody give me any advice on the safe operation of a Tilley lamp?

I lit it for the first time today and I had some difficulties. Firstly, the preheater torch had flames coming right to the top of the lamp - was there too much methylated spirit on it? It has been soaking in the jar for several days - should I just give it a quick dip instead? Also, it was very dim when it was finally lit. I don't know how bright they are normally, but this was very dim. What was I doing wrong? Can anybody give me any advice on the safe operation of a Tilley lamp?
There is some practise needed to light the lantern well and to figure out what it is doing.

If the lamp is dim then before you light it check that the mantle is OK (mantle - the white fabric bit just under the lid), and that the glass is clean (the glass can be cleaned with meths which is handy cause you have that, take the top off carefully so you don't damage the mantle and then take the glass out and clean it - do it when it is cold obviously).

    How to light it?

Soak the preheater in meths - I always leave it in a bottle of meths (an old jam jar) so it is well soaked. The more meths in it the easier it is to light the lantern to be honest. Release the pressure in the lantern (open up the filling nozzle, then close it again), and turn the valve control (on the upright tube) to off or closed.

Right now you are ready to light the lantern properly. Take the preheater ring out of the meths and fasten it round the upright tube. Light it there (make sure you don't have meths on your finger. The reason to light it when it is round the tube is in case meths drips onto you which can cause a burn when lit). Now wait. The burning meths heats up the upright tube, the hotter the better. Pressure and heat makes the paraffin burn well so hot is good.

When the meths is nearly burnt out, open the control valve, and pump one or 2 pumps on the pump, this will send some parafin up the tube and onto the mantle. If it is hot enough then this will start burning with a white flame. If it isnt hot enough then the paraffin will burn with a yellow flame out the top of the lantern - which you saw happening I think. If you get the yellow flame, don't panic, turn of the valve and wait for the flames to die away, wait for the meths to heat it up a bit more and try again. If you get a white light on the mantle then pump up the pump 20 or 30 times to build up pressure. You lantern should now go OK.

Your dim burning might be that the lantern didnt have enough pressure or there was a leak in the system somewhere.

Tilly lanterns when they go are very efficient and good lanterns, however there are a few problems you might encounter.

Lantern burns dim - its running out of pressure so pump it up

Lantern burns dim - its running out of pressure but you have pumped it up recently - there might be a leak in the system - look around all the joints for wetness and thats where the leak is (its generally OK since to burn well parafin needs to be hot and under pressure, so no explosion risk from the leak)

Lantern burns dim - and you can see orange flames round the mantle we well as white - the lantern might not be quite hot enough so leave it to heat like it is for a bit and it might sort itself out or the mantle is damaged and can be changed when it is cold

Lantern burns dim - the glass is dirty

Yellow flames out the top - you have just lit it and didnt get it hot enough or pressurised it too quickly at lighting - turn off the control valve, let it heat a but more and try again

Yellow flame out the top - the mantle might be damaged

Preheater burns out before it is hot enough - this can happen on cold days or windy days - make sure it is out fully, thne put back into meths to refill, put back on lantern, relifght and continue heating. Care here that the preheater is OUT when you refil it (meths burns invisible in light so you cant always tell. Best if yo uhave 2 preheaters and alternate them)

Lantern looses pressure and no leaks. You might need to replace the seals and washers in it - these are all available in hardware shops and on the internet

You burn your self on it - stop touching the lanterns it is a controlled fire!

Hope that helpsCan anybody give me any advice on the safe operation of a Tilley lamp?
I spent 2 years on the road on a 750cc BMW across Europe with my faithfull Tilly. Several things you might like to bear in mind. Don't have the meths burner soaking wet damp is normally sufficient. It is almost impossible to over-pump a Tilly and it sounds like yours was under pressured. Once the mantle has been burned they don't like too much vibration so carry spares as you will often find the previous one has turned to powder.Always place Tilly on a flat surface as they are easy to knock over. NEVER use anything other than paraffin, petrol can cause them to explode.Do not use inside small tents. Don't put the Tilly underneath/near canvas as the heat that is generated is quite surprising and can cause tents to melt or if canvas crack or even scorch. Happy (safe) Camping
    It's a matter of practice.

Bear in mind these and similar Lamps are designed to run off the inflammable vapours of the fuel used- not the fuel itself. Soaking for several days is dangerous.

Poor luminosity suggests air/fuel mix is not correct. Adjust your lamps ventilation / fuel mechanisms.

Oh Yes- Keep upright at all times. Good Luck.
did you pressurise it first? don't put to much Meth in it,wait till the filliment starts to go from red to white then turn it up do not soak it with the Meth

Hurricane lamp: light it whith the wick low that will stop the glass from smoking up and going black

Poppyman thank you for your advice but they want me to pay for the wooden flooring to come up.?

but the problem is there fault and i dont feel that i should pay for there mistake. The house has only been built 5 years what do think?Poppyman thank you for your advice but they want me to pay for the wooden flooring to come up.?
As I said before, contact an attorney. If it is due to faulty workmanship, they are obligated to repair it!Poppyman thank you for your advice but they want me to pay for the wooden flooring to come up.?
    1. It is the owner's responsibility to repair and pay for repairs to all utilities and permanent structures

    2. the owner can do whatever he wants with the floor, as all structures permanently attached to the building, such as flooring, is by default the property of the owner, even if you paid for it. This is a standard clause in any lease or rental agreement. If it is damaged, the owner has the right to rip it up and put down carpet if he wishes, or you can replace the floor at your own expense.
What is the problem with the floor?

if its the business that installed the floors fault, then they are required to repair it at no charge.....

email me at King_Style69@yahoo.com with more information about the floor.. what kind of floor is it? what is the floor doing? and whats the name, and phone number of the company that installed the floor?

  • What is the most ANNOYING advice you get from others as a parent?

We were at the beach last month for vacation. It was breezy, but the temperature was about 72 degrees. My 7 month old was in her stroller in a sundress and barefoot. One of the hotel's maids was puffing on her cigarette in the elevator (a major violation) and she had the nerve to ask me where my baby's socks were...What is the most ANNOYING advice you get from others as a parent?
I was almost ';raising'; a few children in the neighbourhood(as the oldest and most responsible girl there).I was 10-12 and during that time four-five children were 5-6 years younger than me and I was responsible for them for the few hours their parents left them with me.I hated when someone messed the way I 'disciplined' them.I always used understanding, talking, simpathizing and never yelled or criticized them...but some older people disagreed and I hated that. However, these children turned into responsible, loving and caring pre-teens and I'm proud of the way I treated them, not like some parents treat their children - spanking, yelling, criticizing, punishments....etc.What is the most ANNOYING advice you get from others as a parent?
I know exactly what you mean. First of all I hate wearing socks- I'm a flip-flop kind of person. My dad never put socks on me, and I just happen to do the same with my kids. It's more comfortable! Now in the winter, during the chilly times, yeah I do bend a little...I guess they don't know that kids don't get sick from lack of socks!!!

Well the NO socks/ NO hat (during early infant times) thing really bugged me!
Lol, I hate it when others told my how to dress my kids too, I also hate it when other told me how or how not to discipline my kids
When my second child-daughter- was a baby, when I was in the store buying diapers I got a few women a couple times telling me the best brand of diapers to buy. Even though I had my 3 yr old son with me at the time they still felt the need to give me diaper advice. like I haven't purchased diapers before?! I hated that.
Anytime somebody suggests bundling him up warmer because he'll catch a cold. Sorry, but colds come from viruses, not cold weather.
';I dunno... the same place as your manners?'; Yeah, welcome to parenting. It starts when you're pregnant. It's like an open invitation for the world to tell you what they know. And some of it's well-meaning, and some of it's plain rude. I've had women ask me if I've put sunscreen on my children when we are out at the park or playground, and what SPF it was. I've had old ladies tell me to take my kids out of the pool because it hasn't been an hour since they ate their lunch, and they could DROWN. My pat answer is always ';Thanks so much for your caring, but I've got it under control';.
    Two words

    Ignore her.
    Yeah, that's obnoxious!

I have a pincher and my son was a biter. It was really hard to get him to stop biting and it's been really hard to get her to stop pinching. And (okay, maybe this isn't exactly advice) it's so annoying when people tell me ';yeah, your kid is a rotten little pincher';. Thanks. I wasn't previously aware.
well im not a parent yet.. im only 14

but just to tell you,, that does sound annoying

she shouldnt be concerned about your babys socks

she should be more concerned about losing her job, or getting lung cancer

i respect you for being a parent espicially when your having to deal with stupid people obsessing over your childrens safety, my mom said it seems easy to raise a child when your younger, but when you get older you see how hard it actually is

i cant wait to have children though lol

then i can answer your real question
Oh, yeah, I hate that ...ahhuh...that's when you grit your teeth, and say it's not worth it! Or you say, where is your ashtray at? I don't have to many people bother me, sometimes someone will say oh that's a nasty little scratch, or bruise they got..and you scramble for an answer explaining how much they rough house. Or when my daughter constantly kicks off her shoes, and we go into the store, and I'm so not going to put them on AGAIIINNN! Oh, where are her shoes? IN THE CAR WHERE SHE THREW THEM!!!!!!LOL
A half way drunk guy had the nerve to tell my husband and I that allowing our 3 mo. old daughter to have a binky was terrible and that we were bad parents for it and how he didn't agree with it . He went on and on...and on...and on...and on. I ended up having to tell him to **** off, when I normally don't get that angry.

And I hate when people tell us we need to have another baby just so our daughter will have a companion. To me, that is not a good reason to have a baby. You as the parent kind of need to want it, don't you?????

People are always so good at telling parents what they ought to do.
That child care is bad and you need to stay at home with them until they are teenagers, that children need to eat all their food, that babies NEED to be breast fed and that you are a bad mother if you cant do it,
Kinda made ya wanna come back with some comment about her smoking in the elevator, huh?! Just wait til potty training time. Everybody and their mother will be giving you advice on that!
I'm only 13 but I can imagine being flipped out at tha lady. My mom hates in when ever people criticize the way she raises me and my sisters, or if they tell her how to raise us. I don't know about my dad.
People tell me I should let my daughter get tattoos if she wants them.
well not only can smoking kill her, but she was smoking in enclosed space(first offense) with another person (second offense) and their infant (third offense). that is just oozing with all sorts of accusations...but besides the whole were are your kids shoes bit iwould have to say that the most annoying advice would have to be when someone comes up to me and tells me that the kids should really not be eating the gummie worms and that can lead to obesity and lateron diabetes. they dont eat that stuff everyday and the one time they do some woman preaches to me about what they should eat. going barefoot and eating some candy now and then will not killyou, just don't make a habit of the candy. ya know?
Not only a major violation but she's smoking around your baby, That is a major health issue more so than the socks. Your the mommy and if you feel that your baby was fine then thats your call but you'll have the comfort of knowing that obviously the maid holds zero credibility and you shouldnt worry about it. Only you can decide what is best for your child and she should BUTT out ....pun intended!
I would have went to the front desk. Demanded to speak with a manager and filed a formal complaint.

And if you did not. My advise is to send them a letter anyway regarding the incident.
Don't worry, they will grow out of it. Sheesh, that's pathetic isn't it?
Omg, My dad and my boyfriends mom are the worst!! My baby is 3 1/2 wks old

    1. It was 80 degrees out and so I opened up the patio door so we wouldnt sweat to death, you wouldve thought it was WW2.

    2. ';Are you feeding her enough?'; or ';Maybe shes hungry';, This baby is growing like weeds

    3. ';Dont put shoes on her, let her feet breath';, I have only put shoes on her 3 times and get a fight everytime.

I know Im a first time mom and If I have questions I ALWAYS ask but please dont treat me like and idiot.
You should of asked her why she can't read and why she is smoking in an elevator. Tell her your on vacation at a beach. Why would she need shoes if you were at the beach. The nerve of some people..... I guess thats why shes a maid at a hotel.
Some fat slob telling me how and what to feed my baby
Honestly none, I realize that I am not the smartest person in the world and although not every person may give me advice that I intend on taking it is advice I intend to listen to. How else are you ever going to learn and grow as a parent if you don't listen to those who have already done it. The absolute worst parent are those who think because they gave birth they all of a sudden know it all, those are the parents who have the worst children and make the worst parents and the truth there for everone to see. ( Now the elevator one's got me, why was she smoking in an elevator anyway)
The most annoying advice I get is from my husband's grandmother. I know she means well, but if she has it 80 degrees in the house, why should my children have to be bundled up because its cold OUTSIDE? And, lets just say that my boys (7 %26amp; 5) are pretty rough and tumble kids. I horse around with them and stuff. My hubby's gramdma told me that if I hang them upside down by their feet (which they LOVE) I'll make their brains come lose or cause brain damage! I mean really.
Where are her socks? I hate that question the most. Or when they pretend they are talking to the baby and say '; oh are your feet cold?'; I wish my baby could talk and say '; no there not and who the heck are you?'; I want to make a onesie that says ';YOU CAN'T CATCH A COLD THROUGH YOUR FEET , DUH!'; I also hate where they think they are giving advice but they are really bragging. '; Well you know I just milk in the sippy cup so many times and they didn't want there bottle anymore, you should try it.'; Thanks but my ten month old likes his bottle and you should try minding your own business!
that's none of her business..you should of told her..she shouldnt be smoking in the elevator anyways! I would of said where's ur nicotine patch? well my bad advice comes from other mother's as well..especially the new ones.. they think they know everything. Like my sister in law just had a baby boy and my little one is already two and she tried telling me how not to give him milk anymore, and no binky and how to put him to sleep..and how to bathe him. that really makes my nerve tick!!
Only one. So many that I just could not begin to pick one.

Mosatly those that never had any children tell us how and when about everything and what ever we do it is wrong.

Grand parents are also terrible and constantly undermine what the parents teach.

After all everyone is an expert when it comes to other children but never seem to know how to handle their own.
my ';mother in law'; told me to lock my daughter who is 4 in her dark bedroom to teach her a lesson about staying in her bed !!!!! wtf ???? no way was I going to do anything as stupid as that
The worst things is about potty training. I have four children. My third child is as hard headed as they come. She REFUSES to potty train, she's four. She has the world's largest bladder. I will put her in underwear, take her to the potty, she will sit on the potty, won't go, gets up, waits until I turn my back to answer the phone or put her sister down, and then goes and gets a pull-up and pees/poops in it. At least I know she understands about controlling it but it really makes me made that she won't go on the potty. Anyway, you name it, we have tried it.

So, it really makes me angry when people, especially people without kids, comment on the fact that she isn't potty trained. Have you tried this? Oh, Dr. Phil says this? I did this and it worked great!

Good for you! Any day you want to come to my house and try to train her, you are more than welcome!!
I hate it when my mom butts in to my rearing my kids as if I cant make a decision on my own...I am 36 years old....if I want my 5 year old daughter to wear ';spaghetti straps'; she will wear them...she want be called a ';****'; or a ';whore'; if she wears them...errrrrggggg......and if I hear ';If I were you.....'; one more time...I will scream....
you should have asked her where her sense was...smoking in the elevator

Have Republicans taken their leaders advice and stopped whining?

Michael Steele has taken his party to rehab but I there may have been a side effect, Excess whining. He has called for this to stop, do you think that they listen to him or he is just a token leader?Have Republicans taken their leaders advice and stopped whining?
Judging by the answers you get, I doubt it. Pansies cannot help themselves. Barack Obama turns them into frightened school girls. They will not stop till at least 2016 and then some.Have Republicans taken their leaders advice and stopped whining?
First, you need to make up your mind which target you want to call the leader. Can't be both Rush and Steele. Pick one and stick with it. But, with regard to whining, looks like you have that covered Fly. You are a partisan hack that derives great pleasure from the anonymity of your keyboard in some basement and attacking people who follow a party. What a weakling. Your life must really suck. Sorry.
He is not long for his position. Like most things the powers that be in the GOP does, like Senator McCain suspending his campaign to go back to Washington to solve the crisis on Wall Street that Obama caused...oh right, he wasn't president yet, I forgot and drift from the subject.

Just like bringing Governor Palin in to boost Senator McCain's campaign when it was on obvious life support, their counter to Hillary for the dems was really nothing but another manipulation by the powers that be in the GOP to include a woman who also happens to pander to the religious right which McCain was losing. Nothing is for the face value they present, there is always an ulterior motive that boils down to a select few making a ton of money at the expense of everyone else. Arbusto Oil, Harken Energy and the Texas Rangers. I rest my case.
I will never accept steele as the leader. He isn't a conservative. why should we stop whining. from day 1 you guys were complaining about Bush. It is a natural order of things. if everyone stopped complaining the world would end. We wouldn't know what else to do. That goes for both parties.
You must not have stayed tuned. When Steele says anything he soon says the opposite. So he probably told them to go to the tea parties %26amp; have some whine %26amp; cheese with their tea bags or just spend the day bitching about whatever is being done as if you have a better idea.
    We have leaders?

We have people who pretend to be our leaders who say we are whining?

No way is Steele our leader.

And I'm not whining, I'm fighting, and will continue to do so so long as the administration's policy is disasterous.
No, they are watching Obama and Pelosi's plans self destruct...why say anything. . . . .
Have you embraced your leaders message of working together and healing wounds? Judging from your Q %26amp; A on here I would say no.
The republican party has no leaders.
I'm not whining. I don't understand the question though. You must be a democrat? I can see that from the bad sentence structure!
Correct me if I am wrong, but you are whining right now by writing this question.
This is definitely the pot calling the kettle black....
Isn't Obama your half token leader. Oh snap!
Sounds like you are the one whining. More liberal dribble
    First comes the whining....

    ... then the winning.

I'd say about 2010 or so.
    Is Larry Craig Straight?
The republican party of YES will never stop complaining. Did they complain when they said YES to : Haliburton contracts, illegal torture, and gay sex in mens rooms. (Minneapolis airport)

I need a woman's advice who had Laproscopic Vaginal Hysterectomy and what is normal about the recovery?

I'm already a week into healing from my hysterectomy. Thankfully I was able to keep my ovaries. I need expert advice from women who know what I'm dealing with during recovery. Examples of what I deal with: abdominal swelling and for how long, feeling fatigued and what to do, have understanding from a supportive partner, sexual function after normal time to allow for it, best vitamins or supplements that boost healing or energy, and just basically anything else that would be useful advice. Thanks!I need a woman's advice who had Laproscopic Vaginal Hysterectomy and what is normal about the recovery?
I thought this was the best surgery anyone could have ever done for me!

I felt great after wards. The abdominal swelling only lasted a few days, the weakness maybe few days longer. Sex is GREAT now!

Just take whatever medications your physician has prescribed for you or whatever vitamins you normally take on an everyday basis. You will heal with or without them just fine.

2 weeks after my surgery, I was on a trip to Las Vegas...good luck.

Does anyone have any good advice on rabbit care in winter?

i have a two storey wooden hutch that is in the corner of my garden. It is getting pretty cold outside and it is their first winter outdoors. Any good tips on keeping them warm?Does anyone have any good advice on rabbit care in winter?
some times you cant bring them inside as its not practical if they have to live out side bed them on a thick layer of straw, and line the bottom of the cage with newspaper,it helps them keep warm.

cover the cage with thick blankets and put a water proof cover on top,Does anyone have any good advice on rabbit care in winter?
    Hi,

Rabbits can do well in cold weather, so long as they have been out at least a few months now so they have been able to grown in their winter coat. If possible move their hutch into shed or garage etc. If that is not possible keep them somewhere that isn't exposed to the wind and rain.

Shavings is not really a suitable bedding to use at this time of the year as it doesn't retain heat. Use a layer of newspaper, then a layer or shavings to absorb urine and lots and lots of straw which is good for retaining heat.

You can buy special covers for your hutch, or use blankets to cover the hutch with plastic over the top. Strong industrial bags are good for this. Make sure that you don't cover the entire hutch as they need clean air to circulate the hutch to ensure they stay healthy. You can also buy snugglesafe heat pads (cheaper from a site called vetmed including delivery) which you put into the microwave and they work the same way as a hot water bottle except they are indestructible to animals. Keep an eye on water bottles, and it helps to put warm (not hot) water into their bottle each night to prevent it from freezing straight away, also a cheap way of keeping it from freezing is to wrap tin foil, then bubble wrap, then another layer of tin foil around it.
wrap the hutch in plastic, to keep the wind off them, don,t make it to tight, they will survive, keep fresh water to them, did that to mine.
If there is an area that is wire instead of completely wooden, you can put thick hardware plastic around that area. Also make sure they have lots of bedding in thier hutch, especially the area where they sleep.

I put plastic on all four sides of my rabbits pen. The bottom is is wire on one side, so they get plenty air through the bottom if they need it, and the part that isnt wired is completely enclosed with with either wood or plastic. My rabbits seem to be okay through the winter, at times i even think they like the cold, or atleast more so than those hot steamy summer days.

Oh yeh, I use aspen bedding. And if it gets below freezing, check on their water alot. The water bowls/bottles freeze easily and need changing often. I like plastic dishes- the water doesnt freeze as fast.
Make sure they have a good sized box with a hole in it. Fill the box with hay or straw so they can get out of the weather and stay warm. Feed and water. A covered wood box that won't leak is the best. Don't put plastic around them. and don't give them any artificial heat unless you do it every day. In the wild they would use grass, hay, leaves or straw to keep warm. They will be fine. No plastic, and no heating pad.
most of the time rabbits can keep themselves warm with their fur. Do they have a place in their hutch where the wind and snow can't reach them? If you're truly worried then just to be safe you can buy a animal heating pad to slip in their hutch and they'll lay on it and be warm and toasty.
It's better for the rabbit if you could move the hutch inside or switch them to an indoor cage. If you leave them outside they'll have a really rough winter.
im in the uk and all my rabbits and guineas are housed outside whatever the weather, the funny thing is i have a mum and daughter lionhead who have a huge hutch with run attached and in the winter i used to shut them in the hutch without the access to the run and they thumped and thumped till the ramp broke and now the stay out in the run wotever the weather even tho they have tonnes of bedding upstairs and theyve been like that for 5-6years, i do cover them over at night the only time they are not covered is in the summer otherwise they have a thick double blanket, kind of like a bed throw which is used to cover them at night with a plastic sheet incase it rains, the other hutch houses my netherland dwarf and 2 guineas , again they have a thick blanket and tonnes of hay they are checked daily in the really cold weather incase i need to put more hay in , as long as you provide sufficient cover by means of a thick blanket they will be finexx

I would like to change the brakes on my 2006 honda civic. Any advice or manual stuff online?

It has been a long while since I have changed any brakes on any car and just really want to make sure that I have all the info that I need to change the brakes. It's not I can go anywhere afterwards. Any info, groups or online manual. Please let me know that would be great. Thanks.I would like to change the brakes on my 2006 honda civic. Any advice or manual stuff online?
You shouldn't have to change your brakes unless you have A LOT of miles on your car and you can hear a noise from them when you brake. Most of the time you only have to change out the front ones. Because the weight and momentum go forward when you brake. If you do have to change them, I agree go to Autozone and ask them how to change them. They might not have a book on how to fix it though. 2006 is still ';newish to have a repair guide on it. Your best bet it to look up the hanes book online.I would like to change the brakes on my 2006 honda civic. Any advice or manual stuff online?
I would go to your nearest Auto zone and buy a Hayes manual for your car. They are very complete and have pictures

Any advice for someone who wants to learn to sing?

If someone cannot sing well, is it possible for them to learn? I am looking to star a band with my friends, and I do not need to sing exceptionally well, but I do want to be able to carry a tune, as well as sing specific notes. Any advice?Any advice for someone who wants to learn to sing?
It is absolutely possible to learn. Consider a few singing lessons. They make a HUGE difference, but make sure whoever is teaching you knows what type of music you want to sing.

  • I have a logo related to the pet industry and would like to sell it. Any advice on where to start?

I would like to sell my logo - which is geared towards the pet industry and I am not sure where to start or who to contact - has anyone ever sold a logo they have designed? Any guidance would be appreciated.I have a logo related to the pet industry and would like to sell it. Any advice on where to start?
To tell you the truth, this is very odd. People do not normally design a logo and then try selling it. It is normally done the other way around: a company hires am artist to design a logo for them.

A logo has to showcase a company's business or products, so doing one without knowing the company is not very practical.

You can try contacting various pet food companies (look online for contact info), but I'd be amazed if it receives any response other than a form letter.I have a logo related to the pet industry and would like to sell it. Any advice on where to start?
    Try Zazzle

What if your brother in law gives unsolicited advice regarding your kids, but censors yours?

Elaboration is basically that when you try to connect with his kid, he is protective and appears unreceptive to you but in the reverse he and his wife try to connect with your kids and give advice or even directives to your kids while you are present and when you go to intercept the directive, they nod authoritatively for you to stop so that your kid will follow through on what they told them to do. Any thoughts? What if your brother in law gives unsolicited advice regarding your kids, but censors yours?
Eesh. I think I'd go out of my way to avoid that brother in law. But maybe just being a little more assertive on your part would be enough. Or perhaps try having your husband talk to him (if it's your husband's brother; if it's your sister's husband, then perhaps speak with your sister about it.) I know you want to maintain the family peace. But yeah, I know I could only take so much of that. Next time he tries domineering in a situation with your kids, I might politely say, ';It's okay, (insert name here), I've got this one.'; Or, if you're feeling really frustrated: (I'M the MOMMY HERE, thanks!!) :-)What if your brother in law gives unsolicited advice regarding your kids, but censors yours?
    tell your kids to go off and play while you talk to ';auntie and uncle'; BUTT IN, and you will explain to them later about what is happening, then tell them to please refrain from telling your kids to ';do '; anything, and stick by it. If your kids are kicking other children or going to hurt themselves then I would say maybe they are right but if they r just ordering your kids around then tell them to sto. Remember: ';you teach people how to treat you';
    Everyone thinks that their advice is the best advice. Just this weekend I was having dinner at a restaurant and was noticing a couple with a new born waiting for a to-go order. Almost every total stranger sitting nearby them asked if that was their first baby and then proceeded to tell them various bits of information that began with ';The best thing you can do...';

That being said, you need to sit down with your wife and both of them to have a conversation about it when the kids are not present. Even if he still refuses to accept advice from you, you have the right to tell him/them that you do not want unsolicited advice from them. If it continues to be an issue after having a grown up discussion, you should make it a point to avoid their company for a while.
Tell him straight up what you think. Hey if you can give advice etc for my children and don't expect the same for yours then ask him to stop. Maybe no one has dared telling him anything yet. Good luck!
Privately have a chat with him( and your husband or your sister-whoever is related to him)

Tell him you think he means well, but he is drivign you bonkers.

Tell him you will no longer be open to comments about your children.

Tell him he has zero authority over your children when you are present, and it is undermining your parental authority for him to misdirect and intercept you.

Tell him you will not tolerate being disrespected in front of your own children.

Ask him for any thoughts he might have in his defense.LISTEN!! He may have something intelligent to say.

Let the relative talk-have them back you up.

Tell him If he does it again, you will not stand for it.

Tell him if you have to, you will cease all contact with him and your kids.

Tell him you mean business. YOU expect to be respected and allowed to correct/raise your children without his interference.

    Next time he opens his pie-hole, and he will, say, ';Remember, Uncle Roger, what we talked about?'; If he doesn't hush immediately, say '; Come on, kids, we're leaving. ';

Pack them up and exit. Do not back down, no matter who starts hollering.

Do that a couple of times, and no one will give you %26amp;^% in front of your kids.
they need to have their own damn kids and if they do they need to pay more attention to thier own. however, you need to take them aside away from the kids and let them know that you dont appreciate their butting in, it's annoying and doesnt look good in the eyes of the kids. if they dont understand or continue to do so simply tell them to mind their own business
    Why don't you just say to him: '; Look bub...why don't you raise your kids, and I'll raise mine. I won't tell you how to raise yours, and let me raise mine how I see fit, OK ?';

Some folks need to be told bluntly.
uh yeah....when they nod their head, nicely exclaim ';um excuse me..I birthed them, and I'm here...they need to do something? I let them know..but thanks for trying to help'; then walk you and your children away. might cause hard feelings...but they are being totally presumptious and totally rude...unless of course your kids are misbehaving and you are not doing anything about it.
It really depends. Do you agree with the advice he gives your children? If not, tell him that you do not agree. I wouldn't tell him in front of the kids because that just causes problems. Take him to the side and tell him that you are trying to raise your kids to your standards and you don't think that his advice is helping.

Also, take him to the side and let him know that you don't mind him giving your children advice, but in turn, you should also be giving the same opportunities. If he doesn't think you are good enough to give his children the advice, maybe he shouldn't be doing it with yours. Don't be ugly with him, but be firm. These are you children after all, not his. You need to step in now, before they learn that they can go to him instead of you. He's taking your place. Stop it now.
This doesnt sound healthy but I would tell them where to go and if they keep going then a restraining order from the courts and serve it on them!!! You dont want that to happen but if that is what it takes to make them stop then do what you have to to protect you and your kids.
tell him to get the heck over it and that you are YOUR CHILDREN'S PARENT and what you say goes not what he says. I'd have punched him in his mouth for that.
OUCH! Sounds like you need to find a way to open the line of communication and find out why they are doing this. You may not agree on how to raise children, but they don't have the right to tell you how to raise your own kids, and what they should or shouldn't be doing.

Any Advice for student taking online classes? How do you succeed without traditional class setting?

I am going back to school in January!! yeah!! scared though when I went to traditional college on campus, I hated attending classed, I didn't see the point. I just wanted to turn the work in and take my test. I am hoping to do better with the online college community. Although some people say online classes are even harder and need really disciplined students...Any advice for success?Any Advice for student taking online classes? How do you succeed without traditional class setting?
Keep up with your work, it is sooo easy to say you will just do the work tomorrow because you don't have to go to class or turn anything in. It is very easy to keep everything until last minute and that will hurt you big time!Any Advice for student taking online classes? How do you succeed without traditional class setting?
yes definitly keep up on your coursework, and set deadlines for yourself. you also should realize that there is much more writing/papers for online courses, since the prof can only evaluate you on your writing and tests.
How unlike you I am! I prefer the structure of a class room setting, and a set schedule.

My daughter has been pursuing her degree with on line classes. She is doing quite well. The benefits ( from her prespective) are that she can work around her job, her errands, go to class before breakfast, or in her pj's. To some limited degree, she can work at her own pace, working ahead, where as in the school setting, if the class as a group must review material a second time each student must do like wise......the one thing you can't allow yourself to do is fall behind, without a ';deadline'; I fear I would procrastinate!

I think it shows great progress in our educational system that each of us have a choice.........Good Luck!
    hey girl,

I've take my first online course this fall term, yeah it over now for the spring I'm taking two..

What worked for me is READ, READ, READ AND did I SAY READ, the material is very useful and try to be available when they chat, and communicate with the instructor as often as you can that's what worked for me the best

    Good luck Mam

Any advice for a couple trying to conceive their first child?

We're trying to conceive obviously. Does anybody have any tips for improving the odds in order to get pregnant faster?

Thanks in advance!Any advice for a couple trying to conceive their first child?
One a day woman vitamins, or prenatal (one a day is cheaper)...you need that folic acid. I heard drinking green tea helps fertility. Lay down after sex for 20 minutes, to keep the sperm in as long as possible while elevating your hips. Start having sex a few days before ovulation, don't wait until that day like 5 days before is good, because sperm lives inside for 3-5 days waiting for the egg, so the sooner you go at it the better. Have sex every other day, not everyday to keep the sperm count up. Don't smoke or drink while trying, and keep you man away from really hot showers, and tight underwear. Don't use any lotions or body wash in or near the vaginal area before sex, becasue that can kill the sperm. JUST HAVE FUN, and don't think about it too much....they always say it happens when you stop trying so hard!Any advice for a couple trying to conceive their first child?
relax, have sex during ovulation and make a wish for a baby! http://www.themostexpensivewish.com/ (it's free, it's funny and who knows?). Good luck!
first, know how long ur cycle is..Do the math for ur ovulation day by subtracting 14-16 days from ur next coming period. and that day will be ovulating. Make sure u have sex on or before 3 days from the date of ovulation. If u r over weight, try to lose weight since this will enhance to get pregnant. If u guys 've bn trying for pretty more than an year, then first see a gynocologist for any fertility issues. Have less carb diet and drink plenty of water. As the above ladies said, take multi-vitamins/prenatal from now itself. Smoking and alcohol hinder pregnancy, be it u or ur partner. After u have sex, lay in for abt 15 minutes on the bed with ur legs raised up. And check ur vaginal mucus at the time of reaching ovulation date and ALL COSTS have sex. Hope i helped.. Wish u al the very success
Stop taking birthcontrol, start taking prenatel vitamins, have ALOT of sex, orgasm as much possible and doing it through the back has a more possiblity for conception. The penis is closer to your cervix when having sex from behind.
patience..is key and after u baby dace put a pillow under u and stay that way for like 15 min to help tha swimmers get to whr they need to go...also u kan use fertilitygal.com or fertilityfriend.com to chart wen u ovulate and periods and ect....babydust to u and urs!!!goodluck!!

Need advice about changing careers. How do you narrow down what it is that you want to do?

Currently I am a Realtor. This is a new career for me as I am trained a lawyer and recently left the active practice. So far this does not seem to be a good fit. I am exploring what would be a good fit. Any suggestions about narrowing down would be helpful.Need advice about changing careers. How do you narrow down what it is that you want to do?
Whatever age person u r, ensure where u want to reach and improve ur skills according to the requirement u need to reach that destination and travel thru that but itz not simple to get the opportunity in which u have trained but itz alwayz good to keep yourself in to what u r going to do...

And as another user mentioned in this, if money is not matter to you then WAIT UNTIL UR CHANCE but dont remain doing nothing instead alwayz work on ur creditabilityNeed advice about changing careers. How do you narrow down what it is that you want to do?
try to do what you enjoy and get paid for that
I can answer by asking a few questions...

What do you like to do in your spare time?

If you did not have to ';work'; for money, and you could retire and live in style, or travel, or anything you could dream of, how would you spend your time? (traveling, helping people, inventing stuff, starting your own business, etc).

Looking back on the last 10 or 20 years of your life (not sure how old you are), what are your best memories, and why?

The answers to these questions will tell you a lot about yourself and what you will be happy doing.

    I hope this helps.
Changing careers is usually a question of earnings versus satisfaction. In most cases the two are not completely compatible and you have to make choices and compromises. Depending upon your situation (responsibilities) you can lean more to one side or the other.

As a trained lawyer you have many choices, corporate law is probably the most lucrative and being a civil advocate is probaly the least lucrative. You might also considering contract administration or management for a business in an area that you like. For instance I enjoy audio equipment and listening to music, so a good job for me might be contracts management for a company like Velodyne or Klipsch

Figure out your needs and desires and find something that balances the two.
Think about the things you enjoy doing--not just work, but hobbies as well. What is it that engages you in such a way that time seems to fly by? Break it down into the skills you use to do the things you enjoy. Then look for careers that utilize those skills. Check the Department of Labor's Occupational Outlook Handbook for possible careers:

What advice would you give to an english man travelling in America?

I want to travel in the USA and started to plan my trip a week ago What advice would you give to me. Also ill be 20 at the time I'm there so will my age have any negative effects on applying for a travel visa and day to day travelling in the US?

ThankyouWhat advice would you give to an english man travelling in America?
Your age will only have an issue if you want to drink alcohol, the legal age for alcohol consumption in the US is 21. As for recommendations, a lot of that depends on where you want to go and what you want to do. If you like the outdoors and want to see wildlife. Plan on a Yellowstone Park trip. If you want to see the night life here plan on a New York City vacation, it will cost much more to do the New York City thing though.

If you drive remember each state has its own laws. It is cheaper to go by bus or rail but you can not see as much. Remember also that the steering wheel is on the left and you drive on the right. Kind of backwards to other continents. Also, check the weather where you are going and carry sun screen, you will most likely burn since you are not use to the climate, especially in the mid west and down south. Personally, I would fly into one of the smaller cities and start from there, most of your big cities will have so much for you to do that you will probably only see one city then. Plus, the smaller towns are a lot less expensive. For a short stay I would plan on a Motel 6 stay. They are the cheapest Motel chain and usually pretty clean, and also have wi-fi. For longer stays I would think of short term rentals. Have fun. What advice would you give to an english man travelling in America?
Not really. As an Englishman people will treat no the same as they would an American from say Boston. The usual precautions about being defrauded or robbed apply in the USA as much as they do in the UK.

Other than maybe to avoid annoying or challenging anyone who is drunk or disagreeable. If you get into an altercation there is a much greater probability of rough characters in the USA to be carrying firearms. We call it ';catching 9mm disease';. Better to let these sorts ';win'; a disagreement and let them be on their way.

Any advice for someone learning to swim for the first time in deeper water?

Im learning to swim in deeper water and my first instinct is to panic, does this feeling pass with time?Any advice for someone learning to swim for the first time in deeper water?
The panic feeling passes with time. The best advice I can give to you is to first swim next to the wall and see how far you can go without touching the wall or the bottom. Knowing that distance should give you confidence to swim in deeper water and know how far away you can be and still be able to make it back safely. If you have an instructor or if you have a friend who's a strong swimmer who could support you in case you feel you need a little help in the deep water, that can be another assuring thing to have for you. Confidence is the name of the game in swimming, the more you have, the faster you improve.Any advice for someone learning to swim for the first time in deeper water?
I am a swimming teacher and a life guard and i have just been teaching someone to swim. She was really scared of the deep end but now she will swim up and down with ease. Yo need to relax and trust in what you are doing. If you are confident in your self you shouldn't panic. Also if you panic try to stay near a side. If you are not comfy in the deep end stay in the shallow end until YOU feel ready to go into the deep end. Then the feeling should have passed.
well its a bit silly to be starting of in deeper water , you need to start in the shallow end this way if you do start to panic you will be able to put your feet down , when you have learnt to float then go into the deeper water . learning to swim takes some time will be a shame if you drown on your first attempt in the deeper water.
    Yes,

Try going underwater lots to show you that sinking is pretty hard, try swim to bottom (Shallowend and middle!!) Your body will soon realise that depth is not a problem.

Your instincts are protecting your breathing, if you lie on your back in water and float does it matter how deep the water is! You still float? Relax and show your instincts that you only need to breathe every now and again. BE patient and don't let your imagination run wild..

    Good luck.
When you can swim the shallow end of the pool to the safety rope and back t the edge w/o touching the bottom

that will give the confidence to swim the deep area of the pool because you will always have only half the length of the pool to get from one edge to the other or the middle of the pool to the back end

Let the lifeguard attendant know your out there just starting to be in the deep end of the pool

So someone can keep and eye on you, drowning is not likely lol that way your not alone this way ok ?

And one of the best ways to build your confidence in your ability is to go to the deep part of the shallow end and tread water w/o touching the bottom when you feel your self start to need to touch the bottom you can take in air and float and rest then trad again or tread to where you can touch the bottom if your not that tall that you naturally do anyway

    You can do it
Use fins. This will help you keep a good body position while you concentrate on your upper body stroke.
Start out in the shallow end of the pool until you feel comfortable. Stay near the edges so if you start to panic you can grab onto the side. If you're not in a pool (beach etc) swim out as far as you can touch the bottom with your feet. That way if you panic, you can stand up. Eventually the feeling will pass and you can go further and further out
    dont stop!!!!

Can anybody answer this real estate investment company advice?

I'm almost 90% sure that i want to start my real estate investment company as a corporation not a LLC. I was wondering is this a good idea. Also, can't i sell shares of my company to private investors to raise capital. Any advice on starting a commercial real estate investment comapany will help. Can anybody answer this real estate investment company advice?
I think you are right on starting as a corporation.

HOWEVER...as legalities vary from state to state on private investors, I think you really need to find a good small business attorney in your area, pay him a fee, and find out the in's and out's from there. A lot to consider with investors. 1) Are they going to be silent partners? Or 2) Are they going to have an equal say in how the company is run? Would be worth the fee.to find a good business attorney to lay it all out for you. Or find a book on amazon about starting a business. Once you are using someone elses' money, the company is no longer yours exclusively, unless you have a proven track record and your investors are willing to leave you in full control. Can anybody answer this real estate investment company advice?
If you start a corporation in the real estate business as a start up business to purchase any kind of property at this time you would need to have a personal guarantee to the purchase of any real estate deal. Once you have established a track record as a corporation. Then the banks will not longer be looking for the personal guarantee.

If you decided to sell shares of stock. then your company has gone public. There are a ton of other things that you will need to worry about.

In my opinion i would take a few partners and get a LLC. That is a limited Liablity CO.

Remember a Corporation if not done right could have its vail broken and still go after you personally.

Show your full range of physical skills: Acrobatics, martial arts, juggling, prat falls, dance, etc.

Be prepared to improvise, create outrageous characterizations on the fly.

    Sing and play instruments.

    Be effusive, clever and adorable.

Keep it clean. Show respect. Thank the interviewer, accompaniest, everyone.

Good luck!Any advice for disneyland atmosphere character auditions?
the advice from the other interviewer is very sound. make sure you look pretty conservative, disney is really big on the ';disney look.'; no excess jewelry, no over the top makeup (save that for the parade!), nothing too out there or flashy.

Graduating college a semester early and I'll need a temp job? Any good ideas or advice?

Hey, I'll be graduating a semester early and waiting to enter law school the following fall. I'll be out of school for approximately 8 months. Have you got any ideas on a job I could take that would pay relatively well? I realize I could be a gas attendant or the like, but I'd like to get a job in something that requires a college degree, but not necessarily a specific major.

    Any ideas?

Thanks guys!Graduating college a semester early and I'll need a temp job? Any good ideas or advice?
Check your college's Office of Career Placement, they will have opportunities actively seeking students/recent grads, and they may be able to locate placement for you in a law office or firm that have connections to the college.Graduating college a semester early and I'll need a temp job? Heh good luck finding a viable job in this economy! Sorry, it's just going to be hard, esp with no experience in your field + no long-term work plans due to starting grad school next fall.

  • Need advice for sheets and comforter?

I am going to buy some new sheets and a comforter for our king size bed soon. I just need some advice on what to look for. I don't want to spend too much money but I want to get something that is very comfortable and will last for a while.Need advice for sheets and comforter?
I bought a beautiful hand-sewn quilt at Macy's for about $100. Of course, I wanted matching shams $35 ea.

Sheets run about $50 (Target), and you may need a dust ruffle $30 (Target). These are for nice crisp sheets, with not too high of a thread count.

The nicer sheets are those with a high thread count and made of Egyptian cotton.

TX MomNeed advice for sheets and comforter?
when I first started out I had a fitted mattress pad, a fitted double bed sheet, a ruffle, a double bed top sheet and a pillow case. In those days we chose cotton, then years later we chose perma-prest. These days they say it's better if the count is higher, and some people like the flanel sheets. It depends on how often you wash them and in what as to how long they last. If you take care of them they can last ten years or more. But now there are queen and king size and those are super expensive so you may not have the money to have a few sets like we did.

';Comforters'; generally are to be dry cleaned and the bill at some point for dry cleaning will cost more than the comforter itself, and you can't wash comforters in the automatic washer or dryer or the washer or dryer will break down from the weight.

So in years past we used to ';layer'; or use bedspreads for daytime (chenile or ribbed) and several blankets or coverlets for night....and all those ';are'; washable. The coverlets are usually cotton covered but have polyester batting (or cotton batting for summer) in them but either way they are thinner than a comforter so both summer and winter weight will dry quickly in your dryer or even overnight if you dry them on a line.

Over the years I've learned to dry a lot of clothes on a line, or even over the tub and that way things last a lot longer..
I would check out Target. They have some really good prices on comforters, and might I recommend bamboo sheets (such as these: http://www.target.com/Bamboo-Sheet-Set-B鈥?/a> They are by far the most comfortable sheets I have ever used in my whole life!! Plus, the price is just right!
The higher the thread count, the more comfortable the sheets. I like a 600 thread count on my queen-sized bed. As for comforters, I use a down comforter during the winter, or a down-alternative comforter if you're allergic to downy feathers. I really think those poofed-up cotton-blend comforters are great in the summer, too. As for keeping them fresh, just stick it outside and air out or just air fluff in the dryer.

You will spend money on king-sized sheets, obviously. I would assume $99 for a set of sheets with the higher thread count. As for the comforter, it really depends which one you get. I would check out sites like Overstock.com and then take those ideas to your local retailers, just so you have an idea of what you want to spend and where you want to spend it.
When buying sheets, make sure the thread count is high, at least 300 or more if you don't want to spend too much money.

Under 300 they fell like sandpaper.

Look for sale prices. Right now is a good time to buy a comforter, everything seems to be on sale at the stores.

I bought one that had to be dry cleaned.....I hated it. I like to wash comforters when they need it. The dry cleaners would have it for a few days and I had nothing to use....make sure it is machine washable.
The higher thread count, the more comfortable. I like thread count of around 500. They feel snug on the bed, like crawling into a fresh washed sheet, every day.

Does anyone have any dairy fitting tips or advice?

This is our 1st year showing dairy calves and would appreciate any advice on fitting them for show. Thanks.Does anyone have any dairy fitting tips or advice?
Always, always keep your eyes on the judge. Belive it or not, some judges for minor shows will pick the student with the better showmanship if he cannot choose which animal is better than the other.

Act like your animal is absolutely 'the best', and try to show it off. Don't be too arrogant though!

Make a 'sandwhich' between you and the judge. Never block your animal. If the judge moves in front of you, don't block your steer's brisket (chest) by standing in front of it! Move off to the side, and alittle away from the animal. If he is looking at the animal's side, don't hide on the other side of the steer! This is when it's ok to move by your animal's head.

Any advice on painting a concrete patio floor?

Looking for tips and tricks. I've checked out the paint options and steps. What is the time period from start to finish?Any advice on painting a concrete patio floor?
You can safely use porch and deck paint. I have stained concrete. It is much easier. Get one of the pest sprayers and mix stain as directed and spray all over the concrete. Be careful not to spray other surfaces. It stains a little bit mottled but much easier and longer lasting than paint. You will probably want to put a sealer or wax over it when it dries. I love the look and feel of stained concrete.Any advice on painting a concrete patio floor?
Not sure. Hope someone comes up with a good answer to you.
It goes on pretty quick and fairly quick drying, but be sure to use paint designed for concrete or it will peel !!
I am a painting contractor and if it is an exsisting concrete floor ,you might want to apply a layer of muratic acid to the floor to clean out any imbedded dirt, so your paint wont peel in the near future ...also get a good epoxy paint made for concrete.

Is there anywhaere I can get free legal advice on child custody laws?

Im getting ready to leave my husband and I want to move with our daughter back to my home state Pennsylvania. Can I legally do that, and how do I get custody of her so that I can? And is there anywhere I can get free legal advice? Is there anywhaere I can get free legal advice on child custody laws?
I am not a lawyer, but will give you this knowledge from my research...

the state WHERE THE CHILD HAS NORMALLY LIVED is the legal state to determine custody. A lawyer is the only person who can define exactly if that is where you now are, or PA. It most likely is where you currently live.

2nd..each state has DIFFERENT LAWS relating to your rights to leave the state with the child and if it violates your husband's rights. YOU could be dealing with parental abduction, if the home state of the child has that law.

Bottom line is that you NEED TO DISCUSS IT WITH A LAWYER before you make any decisions.

Family law is tricky, and no one here can give you specifics as to what is / is not legal for your situation.

Unless you have a free law school family law clinic, there's really no place you can get free legal advice.

Of course, there's always the internet but you take your chances on the accuracy of information.
Talk to your state's Civil Legal Aid office. Talk to your nearest law school's Legal Clinic. Those are two places you can get free legal advice.

Learn to read the notes and you'll be able to put down your music in notes and thus eternitate your composition.Sometimes interesting music compositions comes to my mind but I don't know how to put it on paper? Any advice?
music is a simple math hidden in little dots and lines, composing is a harder, but still simple math.

get a piece of blank sheet music, and draw out each note in order, then write the letter of the note underneath the note, after you complete that try and find a cheap keyboard($25-$50), and very simple music, look back on your sheet and match up the notes with your letters(write the letters on the music you get)this builds and eventully you will be able to just read it.

    then pick up a book on ';musical theory, and instramentation';

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>

but this can help you with the basics(this math is used alot, and leads to more complex math types):

    arpeggio- major (key note=1) 1-5-8-13, example:c-e-g-c.

    arpeggio-minor:1-4-8-13, example c-d#-g-c.

    Major---- 1,5,8. Minor------- 1,4,8.

    Hi, I'm DAZ3626

I used to be like you. But then i did Music GCSE lol. and i'm currently doing A-Level Music.

But if you're not that serious, try downloading or buying music software that doesn't require notation, such as Cubase or Cubasis, Logic, Garageband, etc.

or look for a recording programme and record different layers. or make your own code of writing music so that you can remember it.

    I Hope I've Helped :D
Get a computer program that will let you input with mouse or typewriter keyboard, then have it play it back. If it's wrong just change it till it sounds right. Sibelius is good.
record it, if its a song just sing it into a recorder, if it's a tune just hmm the tune into the recorder. or with any ideas you may have do the same.

Women over 50, what advice to do wish you listened to about your health when you were younger?

I'm 33 and looking for advice. I see teenagers and would just love to give them some words of wisdom, but I know they won't listen. I want to listen.Women over 50, what advice to do wish you listened to about your health when you were younger?
Not quite 50 yet but getting there.

I wish I had never started smoking, my lungs are fine but I did damage my skin so have lines I could have avoided. For the same reason I wish I had spent less time in the sun.

Vanity apart, I wish I had listened to advice about healthy diet and exercise, it's a lot easier to eat well when it's a long standing habit. I'm not overweight but I have to push myself to eat healthy food, I didn't make myself get used to it years ago.

There are few obvious reasons for prematurity and most of them are inevitable. Here are some factors that may cause prematurity:

    Cervical incompetence

    Multiple pregnancies

    Fetal Abnormality

Certain conditions like pre-eclampsia and hemorrhage

    Uterine abnormalities

    Maternal age

    Hereditary factors

Lifestyle, intake of substances and genetic factors has an effect on baby's development.

Do you have any advice on how to set up and maintain a healthy pond?

I'm likely moving into a house with a pond thats roughly 8-10 feet in length, 4-5 feet across, and i'm not sure about the depth. I'm thinking of just putting cheap goldfish in it to see how it goes. How many is good to start off a healthy population? and is it okay to put something like a pleco in it since they are hardy fish? can I leave them in there year-round in a New Jersey type climate?Do you have any advice on how to set up and maintain a healthy pond?
Since there is already water in the pond, leave it. It has already cycled and has a working bio filter. Cheap goldfish work well comets will become as large as Koi. Get the feeders....pick the colors you want. To start off no more than 7-10 at one time before adding 7-10 more in a week or two. This is a good start for your pond. Before you buy your fish, take the time to remove the leaves at the bottom. This is the problems with closed ponds. I would also suggest either a fountain or waterfall. Filtration is optional, not a requirement. Pleco's do well in ponds since most are native to the rivers in the US.

You leave the fish in the pond all year. Stop feeding your fish (If you are feeding) when the water temps hit 55. The fish go into hybernation for the winter If you keep feeding them and they go into hybernation their innerds will ferment and kill the fish. Do not start to feed again until spring when the water temps remain at 55 or higher. (Remember not air temps water temps)

DO NOT cut holes in the ice or pound on the ice for any reason. This sends shock waves thru the pond If it is a dirt bottom this can be done but a pastic or cement pond will not allow the shock waves to disburse. Don't be suprised when your fish grow about 6inches the first year and your pond has babies in the spring.Do you have any advice on how to set up and maintain a healthy pond?
Hi, In my opinion it is not acceptable to use any living creature simply to test a theory-their lives are no less valuable simply because they are cheap %26amp; plentiful. Properly cared for each cheap baby Goldfish had the potential to outlive almost all other family pets several times over.

You need to research ponds in depth [pun intended] %26amp; you also need to establish if the pond in your new property is natural or ornamental. Plecos are not suitable for most ponds unless you live on the equator as they are tropical fish %26amp; not particularly hardy

It depends on what your willing to spend and what you want, mechanical or electropnumatic... I prefer mechanical due to the ease of maintenance and durability except for my autococker. But if your willing to spend anywhere from 100-300 USD, then i would either recommend an autococker, tippmann pro lite or a proto slg, its all up to you, what works and looks good is what i tend to buy.
If you are into speedball, there are alot of really great guns out there brand new and used for cheap. You could go with Boblong protege or vice(I have owned them they are nice!), there is dye I really like the dm7 and 8. They have the ego. It's really the range of how much ur going to spend and what fits you. I like closed bolt guns they are super quiet, accurate, and smooth but they are gas hogs(except for the droid which is what I shoot.) Then there is open bolt guns like egos, some bob long guns, and many more. Lets say you have 400 to spend... I would go with a dm6 or a protege with money to spare. If you had 600 or more I would get a 07 ego or 08 ego or a dm7 or dm8.

What is your best advice for cooking rice?

    Not too sloppy

    Not too dry

    Not watery

    Not sludgy

Nice and fluffy! What is your best advice for cooking rice?
Melt a tablespoon of butter in saucepan over medium-high heat. Rinse a cup of rice in a strainer with cold water. Toast the rice in the melted butter for about a minute. Add 2 cups of water or broth or a combination of both and salt (and any seasonings like) to the rice and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for about 15 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork -- avoid using a spoon as it can smash the grains. What is your best advice for cooking rice?
    rice cooker
Take 1 cup of rice and place in bowl. Rinse rice 6 times to rid of starch and freshen. Rinse by adding water to rice and swirl around with spoon or fingers. Pour water from rice, then, rinse again. After rinsing, place rice in pot, then, add 1 1/2 cups of cold water. Heat to boil, then, when moisture starts rising against pot, place on very low heat, cover, and simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat, and, set aside, still covered for 15 minutes. Remove lid and enjoy.
Buy a electrical rice cooker and follow the instruction from the Manuel + the recipes (usually the maker would provide a recipe books with the cooker as gift).

The last but not least is practice!!!!
    steam it
gotta agree with the rice cooker! i used to have so many rice disasters and someone gave us one as a gift and i have never looked back!
cook it in the microwave..first let the rice soak for atleast 1/2 an hour...then put it in the oven...when it boils add salt...then mix nicely and then after sometime u get ur rice-fluffy and nice
read the directions on the package! the best way to cook long grain rice is to put double the amount of water (1 cup rice to 2 cups water) with some salt in a pot with a tight fitting lid. bring the water to a boil then cook on low for a few minutes (a cup usually takes about 10-15 mins). turn the stove off and let it sit for a few minutes. the steam will make it nice and fluffy. fluff with a fork before serving. i like to add a little butter for extra flavor. i always had the same problem too when cooking rice. it always came out too watery or too dry and it wasn't fluffy. i read the direction on the package and now it comes out perfect every time. good luck!
I used to to do the whole water and rice in a pot thing. Now I have a rice cooker. Yes it's cheating but i dont have to watch it.
Double the amount of liquid to the amount of rice (example: 2 cups of liquid to 1 cup of rice). Bring to a hard boil. Cover the pot, turn the heat to low, and let it sit. How long depends if it is quick rice or regular rice. Either way, fluff with a fork before serving.
If you're cooking it on the stove, use slightly less (about 1/8-cup) water than is recommended on the package, a little bit of salt, a pat of butter, and after it's done, remove the lid for about 5 minutes (and then put it back on)
    Use minute rice.
1 cup of rice 1 cup of water 1 cup of chicken broth. Bring the liquids to a boil, add the rice. Stir once, put the heat on simmer, cover, set the timer for 20 minutes.
    nice and fluffy ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmma
Well thats a very easy fix, just get yourself a rice cooker and you will have perfect rice eveytime. I have one and trust me I never burned or had less than pertect rice ok?... you are so welcome
Add a little olive oil to the bottom of the pan. When the oil heats up, add your rice and stirring quickly, heat the rice for about two minutes before adding your water (this cuts down on your cooking time). Check your package, but I use organic brown rice and the ratio is 3:1, water to rice. For more flavor, use organic vegetable broth for some or all of your liquid. Bring it to a boil. Then turn down to simmer. Cover and cook 20-25 minutes or until all the liquid is absorbed.

Why should I take advice on eternal matters from some guy named Bob?

Who is this guy? How come he gets to know things that I don't? Why should I trust some dude who mows his lawn and puts his pants on one leg at a time when he tells me the bound paper he's holding came express, via other guys named Bob, from the Creator of the Universe? So He tells me that I have a choice: believe or burn. Then He can't answer the simple questions, like: Is masturbating wrong? What happened to all the people who died before anyone heard of Jesus? Why should I take advice on eternal matters from some guy named Bob?
i don't know ';c.j.';Why should I take advice on eternal matters from some guy named Bob?
I dunno who that guy is....

    I would imagine, education...

you should trust all those who have not given you reason not to...

yes you do have a choice to accept Christ and live or not and choose Hell as your residence for eternity...

yes it is a lust of the flesh and is wrong...

they that believed in their hearts what God was telling the world will be saved..
Because if he quotes from a book that people made an agreement on that is holy and the only truth... Then, he has the authority to be always right.

    Ugh.

I agree with you. It makes me cringe that people are that gullible.
You should never listen to anyone who thinks they know what happens after someone dies. Because they are not dead.
is it no? its self discovery. is my opinion worthy.
I don't think you should trust anyone. In my opinion you ought to investigate eternal matters for yourself. When one's eternal destiny rests on the truth, one ought to be really sure about what they believe.

Maybe you should check out the Bible--that express delivery from the creator--for yourself. Any religion worth following has answers for your questions. As you seek answers you should also take advantage of centuries of scholarly work that has been done around the Bible and the theology of Christianity. Some of the best human minds in history have had a lot to say about the Bible. You might want to give some of them a chance instead of listening to the drivel that runs so sloppily through R%26amp;S.

What Bob ought to have told you is that masturbation is wrong because it is a way of getting our own satisfaction from something other than Jesus. We're substituting a momentary pleasure for the true relationship with God. There are appropriate ways to seek satisfaction--such as sex between husband and wife--and there are inappropriate ones.

Bob also ought to have told you that the people who died before Jesus came are heaven or hell bound based on whether they trusted in God's promised redeemer. The NT is very clear that folks like Abraham are in heaven because they trusted God and it was credited to them as righteousness.

Feel free to e-mail me questions. My name isn't Bob, but I'll do my best to answer...
