Can anyone give advice on being a pregnant emotional rollercoaster?

Im driving my boyfriend crazy! Im so emtional like night and day! Crying getting frustrated easily and taking everything so personally. I need some balance but my body is going through so much in my first trimester. This is my second child. My first child is eight I dont remember feeling so coo coo! Maybe i just forgot. Can anyone give advice on being a pregnant emotional rollercoaster?
You know... I sympathize with you. Right now my husband is driving me crazy, and then when I can't take anymore and burst into tears, he gives me a lecture about what I am doing wrong to him, and blah blah blah. That probably has something to do with the no sex rule from my doctor, but I really don't care. I am the one going through this and he should understand it. But you know something, men don't completely understand, and I don't think many ever will. You are going through so much emotionally and physically, and you have the right to be a little crazy. Sit back and relax a little, whenever possible. I truly know it's hard. But lose yourself in something that will take your mind off everything and help pass the time. The internet is good for that, and puzzle books, or hobbies. I wouldn't suggest the t.v. that usually always leaves me crying about a silly commercial or something. Congratulations on your pregnancy, hang in there. Best wishes to you and your boyfriend. Tell him to relax. It will all be worth it in the end. Sorry I couldn't be more help. But if it seems like you are feeling depressed and it's affecting you more than normal make sure to bring it up to your doctor. My 3rd pregnancy I had to take medication right after delivery of my son because of my wacky hormone levels. They sent me into post partum depression. That really sucks. Crying in the hospital to the nurse because I couldn't decide which thing I wanted for dinner. I laugh about it now, but it isn't fun when you are going through it, and it's good for your doctor to know ahead of time. Best wishes again... take care! Can anyone give advice on being a pregnant emotional rollercoaster?
look in the first trimester all women are like that i flipped so many times. i admit i tend to overreact to but in all fairness it obviously bothers you if x,y and z happens and you have to let that frustration out. when you are calm i would explain to your partner what is happening and that afterwards you feel sorry but sometimes you cant help it. i found it really hard not to throw a wobbler, what i did was i just left the house and returned a while later when i had things in perspective. your man should be doing his upmost to settle you and calm you down but lets face it men are oblivious to that notion.
It's very normal for you to feel this way..when you start to feel upset just stop a second, and tell yourself, ';I'm pregnant, it's my hormones, and getting stressed out isn't good for baby'; and maybe that will help!

Good luck! I know how it feels! haha

I stuff mine with a cooked chicken and ricotta cheese filling and top with a cheese/white sauce, placed in the oven to melt and brown the top. Serve with a side of spinach or a green salad and fresh bread. For a recipe go to FoodNetwork. com/RachelRaye.

Can anyone give me some advice?

I want to replace my old bathroom suite with a one? Can any give me tips? I've heard that it is very easy to do.Can anyone give me some advice?
With no offense meant at all; I haven't heard the word Suite used for a bathroom in many years. what exactly are you looking to do? Toilet is a word I recognize, as is Vanity,Sink, Bathtub, Shower.

Have you room enough for a lounge? Or other pieces to accesorize with? A garden tub perhaps or Jacuzzi? A Bidet?

The Plumber offers some great suggestions, and without a few details it might be difficult to give you exact answers. I've remodeled a lot of bathrooms in my time; but most often it's a personal thing with the customer stating what they'd prefer.

Steven WolfCan anyone give me some advice?
it is fairly easy.. just rip out the old , after you have turned off both hot and cold water, put new one in and reconnect water and waste, make sure u get the angle of the bath ok or the water will not flow away, you may need to retile, touch up etc with silicon sealer, if u dont know plumbing , get an expert in and dont fiddle with summat u dont know about , tradesmen do courses which cost a lot of money and takes years of experience if in any doubt whatsoever get a plumber! or you WILL be dissappointed!! lol
Firstly, I notice that you have not mentioned how much you are prepared to pay for a New Bathroom Suite (we all know what you mean; Bath, Pedestal Wash basin %26amp; W.C.)

They range from say 拢200-1000. We all know plumbers charge too much but you have to set this against getting into a mess by being a novice and possibly being without the use of the items.

Most modern bathrooms are too small so to remove and install the bath you have to remove the the other items first.

A proper plumber would do the job in a day and would charge, I suggest, 拢400 for labour only. Therefore step 1 is to ask two or three plumbers to give you a quote for installing the items which you are buying.

When you have the figures you can start pondering.

Also do you have all the tools? Do you know what tools you need?

Now you also have to consider this:- the person who installed the bathroom items you now have may not have done such a good job after all. In the copper pipework some of the soldered joints may have been defective and when you start moving items around the solder loosens and that will mean leaking.

I would advise you to remember this; no skilled man calls a job easy. Whatever the job is it has to be done properly and this is where he uses his skill.

I am a lifetime DIY man and I am currently fitting out a replacement bathroom in my own property. I have all the tools necessary but my project involves walls, ceiling and flooring. My advice to you is to forget it because there are too many possible pitfalls - you will have them in your existing bathroom - lets call them ';a can of worms'; they are waiting for you to discover them.

I am not a Jonah but do beg you to heed my advice.
It is very easy, for me anyway, I have been fitting them for over 20 years, but I can usually tell the difference when I see a bathroom whether it was a professional or diy job, giveaways are usually visible pipework up to the sink with no uniformity, taps not straight, w/c cistern not back to the wall and the gap filled somehow, and tiles not evenly cut both sides, top and bottom (mark centre then work out cuts and fit the bottom cuts first, get them level and work from centre out to the edges. Then make sure the grout is even.
I fit bathroom full-time, Yes its easy to do it wrong.

To fit one well, that's a skilled job. Plus you need to know all the water regulations / earth bonding requirements / Etc.

Around half the job I undertake involve ripping out rotten floorboard or / and stud-walls due to diy jobs that have been leaking unknown to the occupier for years. Mostly poorly fitted baths with above the bath showers are the main culprit. plumbers can spot a diy job a mile off.
Fill bath with water and seal around it, when seal dries empty bath.

How do i silkscreen onto a shirt using a stencil? any tips or advice if the paint is not getting through?

are there any techniques/advice/tips to make the paint get through to the fabric? How do i silkscreen onto a shirt using a stencil? any tips or advice if the paint is not getting through?
Silkscreen work and stenciling are two different application techniques. Go to your local crafts store and talk to someone who's proficient at this type of work, or research clothing stenciling online.

What is the worst/stupiest advice someone has given you?

What is the worst or dumbest advice some one has given you on pregnancy or parenting? Or what is the stupidest thing you have ever heard when it comes to pregnancy and parenting? What is the worst/stupiest advice someone has given you?
My mother n law told me not to listen to the Dr's because they are all in to kill all of us!! She hates that i do everything that my kids Dr's tell me to do.. Even when my 2nd child was premature(10 weeks early) she told me that when he got home that he didn't need to be on any meds and demanded that i took him off them!!

And my sister n law tried to give me parenting advice when shes beats her kids and is about to get them taken away from her!!

My n-laws are CRAZY!! lolWhat is the worst/stupiest advice someone has given you?
When my son was being treated for his club foot and we were having issues with the casts on his foot causing blistering and bruising of the skin, so the casts had to be removed because he was screaming inconsolably and it was horrible! My soon to be SIL who is a total bltch, told me to leave the casts on and let him scream and to get myself a good set of earplugs. I told her she was a cold person and to please NEVER have children. It's always funny when a person that has no children gives parenting advice, obviously she could not fathom what it was like to see your one month old child in that kind of pain, heartbreaking. I cried with him alot of the time because it caused me such grief to see my little Caleb like that, and then I took the friggen casts off, got a second opinion and found out his sensitive skin was allergic to the casting and it would have to be dealt with when he was a little older and could have pain medication to get through it. Thank God I didn't let him suffer like the wicked witch told me to let him do.
Well i have a friend who has 1 child that is 9 months old whereas i have 3 children...She tries to tell me what having a young child in school is like, how i should wean my 8 mth old, what bottles %26amp; sippy cups to use, how to set a routine...It's like she forgets i have already done all of this twice before and this is my 3rd so if anything i should be the 1 giving her advice...she really gets on my nerves!!

I also was told on P%26amp;P by a bunch of women that i should refuse to give my then 4 mth old a bottle of formula and make him latch onto me instead...even though he refused to latch and i had barely any milk they insisted that i should pretty much starve him of his formula and when he get's hungry enough he will take the boob....
i havent gotten any bad advise thankfully but one thing that just kind of got on my nerves was when i was in between looking fat and looking preggers i was saying to my mother in law that i felt fat and didnt have alot of self confidence, and she was like ';it shouldnt matter what you think about yourself as long as you are keeping the baby healthy';...she was right in a way but it didnt really help me feel any better...lol
My son is adopted and came home as an infant from the hospital with us. I had people actually tell me ';well, now you'll get pregnant with one of your own';. I was not just angry over the statement as my child is MY child, but also shocked at their stupidity. I know what causes pregnancy- adoption has absolutely nothing to do with it.
That I better start my exclusively breast fed son on formula NOW so that it wouldn't be a shock for him if we had an emergency come up. I almost died laughing. It was like she thought it was totally necessary for him to know what it tasted like before he HAD to. I formula fed my first son except for the first 4 weeks, and I am so thrilled my second son is working out so well with nursing, I couldn't imagine throwing a monkey wrench into things now!
Almost any dvise is worthless if u dont see it urself it really depends on what it is.

I remember one time my son pooped %26amp; he accedently stuck his foot in it when i changed him %26amp; i took them off in the mall. I went to pay a bill %26amp; this old lady was like ';where is ur socks little man'; %26amp; i was having a bad day It was rather hot So i turn %26amp; told her if she would like to buy a pair i would happily put them on him
My friend's MIL insisted she would miscarry if she didn't wear socks.

When I told a friend she would have to smoke outside and explained that I had quit during pregnancy and stayed smoke free for the health of my son, she told me I should start again. Can anyone guess what I told her she should do?
My sil told me to just get a c-section, it's way easier than giving birth! Even though she admits that they nicked her bladder and she's had problems ever since. Also that I have to take my son to the doctor every few weeks even though he is perfectly healthy. Some people just don't seem to have a brain.
Just little things hear and there like people trying to tell you what to eat and stuff like that. I respect the fact that people are just trying to be friendly and help, but usually it's just unneeded and goes in one ear and out the other
some old lady told me that if I keep my baby's sex a secret, i will be cursed to poo on the delivery table! I was in such shock that all i could do was laugh. I mean, who says that??? lol
almost every response on this forum ..I come here to entertain myself since jerry springer geniuses are no longer on tv ..they are all here

Can anybody give me any advice on the safe operation of a Tilley lamp?

I lit it for the first time today and I had some difficulties. Firstly, the preheater torch had flames coming right to the top of the lamp - was there too much methylated spirit on it? It has been soaking in the jar for several days - should I just give it a quick dip instead? Also, it was very dim when it was finally lit. I don't know how bright they are normally, but this was very dim. What was I doing wrong? Can anybody give me any advice on the safe operation of a Tilley lamp?
There is some practise needed to light the lantern well and to figure out what it is doing.

If the lamp is dim then before you light it check that the mantle is OK (mantle - the white fabric bit just under the lid), and that the glass is clean (the glass can be cleaned with meths which is handy cause you have that, take the top off carefully so you don't damage the mantle and then take the glass out and clean it - do it when it is cold obviously).

    How to light it?

Soak the preheater in meths - I always leave it in a bottle of meths (an old jam jar) so it is well soaked. The more meths in it the easier it is to light the lantern to be honest. Release the pressure in the lantern (open up the filling nozzle, then close it again), and turn the valve control (on the upright tube) to off or closed.

Right now you are ready to light the lantern properly. Take the preheater ring out of the meths and fasten it round the upright tube. Light it there (make sure you don't have meths on your finger. The reason to light it when it is round the tube is in case meths drips onto you which can cause a burn when lit). Now wait. The burning meths heats up the upright tube, the hotter the better. Pressure and heat makes the paraffin burn well so hot is good.

When the meths is nearly burnt out, open the control valve, and pump one or 2 pumps on the pump, this will send some parafin up the tube and onto the mantle. If it is hot enough then this will start burning with a white flame. If it isnt hot enough then the paraffin will burn with a yellow flame out the top of the lantern - which you saw happening I think. If you get the yellow flame, don't panic, turn of the valve and wait for the flames to die away, wait for the meths to heat it up a bit more and try again. If you get a white light on the mantle then pump up the pump 20 or 30 times to build up pressure. You lantern should now go OK.

Your dim burning might be that the lantern didnt have enough pressure or there was a leak in the system somewhere.

Tilly lanterns when they go are very efficient and good lanterns, however there are a few problems you might encounter.

Lantern burns dim - its running out of pressure so pump it up

Lantern burns dim - its running out of pressure but you have pumped it up recently - there might be a leak in the system - look around all the joints for wetness and thats where the leak is (its generally OK since to burn well parafin needs to be hot and under pressure, so no explosion risk from the leak)

Lantern burns dim - and you can see orange flames round the mantle we well as white - the lantern might not be quite hot enough so leave it to heat like it is for a bit and it might sort itself out or the mantle is damaged and can be changed when it is cold

Lantern burns dim - the glass is dirty

Yellow flames out the top - you have just lit it and didnt get it hot enough or pressurised it too quickly at lighting - turn off the control valve, let it heat a but more and try again

Yellow flame out the top - the mantle might be damaged

Preheater burns out before it is hot enough - this can happen on cold days or windy days - make sure it is out fully, thne put back into meths to refill, put back on lantern, relifght and continue heating. Care here that the preheater is OUT when you refil it (meths burns invisible in light so you cant always tell. Best if yo uhave 2 preheaters and alternate them)

Lantern looses pressure and no leaks. You might need to replace the seals and washers in it - these are all available in hardware shops and on the internet

You burn your self on it - stop touching the lanterns it is a controlled fire!

Hope that helpsCan anybody give me any advice on the safe operation of a Tilley lamp?
I spent 2 years on the road on a 750cc BMW across Europe with my faithfull Tilly. Several things you might like to bear in mind. Don't have the meths burner soaking wet damp is normally sufficient. It is almost impossible to over-pump a Tilly and it sounds like yours was under pressured. Once the mantle has been burned they don't like too much vibration so carry spares as you will often find the previous one has turned to powder.Always place Tilly on a flat surface as they are easy to knock over. NEVER use anything other than paraffin, petrol can cause them to explode.Do not use inside small tents. Don't put the Tilly underneath/near canvas as the heat that is generated is quite surprising and can cause tents to melt or if canvas crack or even scorch. Happy (safe) Camping
    It's a matter of practice.

Bear in mind these and similar Lamps are designed to run off the inflammable vapours of the fuel used- not the fuel itself. Soaking for several days is dangerous.

Poor luminosity suggests air/fuel mix is not correct. Adjust your lamps ventilation / fuel mechanisms.

Oh Yes- Keep upright at all times. Good Luck.
did you pressurise it first? don't put to much Meth in it,wait till the filliment starts to go from red to white then turn it up do not soak it with the Meth

Hurricane lamp: light it whith the wick low that will stop the glass from smoking up and going black

Poppyman thank you for your advice but they want me to pay for the wooden flooring to come up.?

but the problem is there fault and i dont feel that i should pay for there mistake. The house has only been built 5 years what do think?Poppyman thank you for your advice but they want me to pay for the wooden flooring to come up.?
As I said before, contact an attorney. If it is due to faulty workmanship, they are obligated to repair it!Poppyman thank you for your advice but they want me to pay for the wooden flooring to come up.?
    1. It is the owner's responsibility to repair and pay for repairs to all utilities and permanent structures

    2. the owner can do whatever he wants with the floor, as all structures permanently attached to the building, such as flooring, is by default the property of the owner, even if you paid for it. This is a standard clause in any lease or rental agreement. If it is damaged, the owner has the right to rip it up and put down carpet if he wishes, or you can replace the floor at your own expense.
What is the problem with the floor?

if its the business that installed the floors fault, then they are required to repair it at no charge.....

email me at King_Style69@yahoo.com with more information about the floor.. what kind of floor is it? what is the floor doing? and whats the name, and phone number of the company that installed the floor?
