Be sure to take the litter box they are using now to the new house. That smell will help make it familiar.

Don't be surprised if your cats ';hide out'; for a day or so. My husband and I moved a few years ago, and one of our cats hid behind the refrigerator for four days. He would sneak out to eat at night and hide all day. Different cats react differently to new surroundings.

Just go on with your normal life and don't try to force the issue. They will adjust at their own speed and according to their own personalities. While the one cat was hiding behind the fridge, the others were curiously exploring their new surroundings. It's an individual thingie. How to get a older and a kitten to get used to a new home.ALL ADVICE.?
Putting catnip around the house eases the stress of a move. It may take a week or two for the older cat to adjust but once they see you are sleeping there etc. they will stay around your family.
just keep them with you for a while until they identify it as their new home the kitten won't care because its to young to remember but the older cat will so just showed its our new home and keep it with you for a while pretty soon it will understand especially when its sees your stuff in the house...
It's always good to take along some things that your cats recognize from the old home (a favorite piece of furniture, blanket, etc.) I don't know if your cats regularly go outside or if you're just concerned about them escaping when somebody opens a door, but it's best to keep them indoors at the new home until they adjust. To be extra safe, you can keep them in one particular room with their food, water, familiar toys and blankets, etc. for a few days, and gradually introduce them to other rooms. The average time for a cat to adjust to a new place is about a month, but the kitten will probably adjust faster, and it might take longer for the old cat.
