Any advice for a male possibly selling make up w inbound sales?

Any advice for a male possibly selling make up through an inbound customer service /sales line ?

My call center is switching from a cell phone client to a make up client .Any advice for a male possibly selling make up w inbound sales?
I sold magazines through an outbound sales line, but I figure this can't be much different. If you can find the book Color Me Beautiful by Carole Jackson, that should help you figure out the right makeup for the right customer.Any advice for a male possibly selling make up w inbound sales?
Well that would depend. Does your current job require you to know all about the cell phones that you sell, or do you merely collect the financial information? If you are going to be expected to know all kinds of information about the makeup that your company is selling, I'd suggest brushing up on your makeup knowledge now. If you'll only be collecting financial and credit card info, you should be fine.

Perhaps you could be asked to be transferred to another part of your company, where you wouldn't actually have to take calls? If you swing it right you might could end up being a manager or supervisor...

Other than that, I don't really know. I've never had to deal with a problem even remotely similar to this.
Honey, sales is sales no matter what you're selling! Product knowledge is a must for sure. Keep in mind that women will use phrases like 'peachy color' or 'bisque', lol, so listen closely. They are looking for something to make them feel beautiful. You are the substitute friend at the make-up counter at the mall telling them 'Oh yes, that's a perfect combination for your skin type'. I'm sure your company will offer a training session. Funny, I usually get a guy when I call Victoira's Secret to place an order!

I'm going on my first road trip along the east coast, anyone have any good advice or tips?

I plan to travel from maine all the way down to florida. This will be my first road trip, therefore I am a new traveler and I would love to hear some good advice and tips for my trip. Thanks!I'm going on my first road trip along the east coast, anyone have any good advice or tips?
I would suggest doing research before leaving and make a list of the places you would most like to hit up - then map out a general route from point to point on your list. Then check out online communities and ask locals from the areas inbetween to find out the lesser-known, less touristy things that the locals suggest are awesome and worth checking out. That's the best way to get the most out of your trip and see more than just your typical tourist type sights.

Also, be sure to take along a large cooler to save you money on food. That way you can fill it with food %26amp; drinks, and when you run out you can stop at a grocery store to pick up stuff for sandwiches (etc) to save you money instead of eatting out constantly (unless that's a major part of you going on a road trip, depends on your goal).

Then of course have the common sense safety stuff in your car, including a credit card JUST IN CASE!

Your roadtrip sounds like fun!!!!!I'm going on my first road trip along the east coast, anyone have any good advice or tips?
A stop in Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia is a must. They are right on the cost, so they are located along the way you are going. Even so, these beautiful, historic cities are worth going out of your way to see. Get a free map around town or at a visitor's center. Park the car and enjoy seeing the city on foot. It's free!
The Florida keys are awesome of you like laid back, diving, fishing etc.
when starting up north be sure to have your sweater and heavy clothing. once you get to the carolinas you will start to feel the warmer weather.

How do mothers who had two babies only a year apart from each other cope? Any advice?

I have no idea but my sister-in-law is about to find out. Her first child will be 1 on October 18th and he second is due September 29th.

My two boys are just shy of 3 years apart and they drive me crazy sometimes. I couldn't imagine a one year old %26amp; newborn at the same time. How do mothers who had two babies only a year apart from each other cope? Any advice?
uhh act like a mother?? parenting magazine? How do mothers who had two babies only a year apart from each other cope? Any advice?
I had 4 children in 5 years time and they all act well around each other. They love always having company and someone to play with.

Getting pregnant so much did put a strain on my body, but I found the best medicine was to drink a ton of water every single day. The vitamins are good, but the best thing to do is drink water. It gives your body more energy and you feel better every day.

Just take it one day at a time. Try not to plan things too much because with small children, planned things usually don't happen too often.

Good luck to you!
THere are many that have done it and many that havent some people are capable some people not.

Not to be rude but guess you should have thought about that question prior to getting pregnant
The same as parents of multiple births. A good schedule, be well organized and ask for help from hubby, family and friends.

Any advice for someone over 30 backpacking for the first time?

What's it like staying in hostels at that age?

Anything you think an over-30 should be warned about?

What do you wish you'd been told before you set off?

Any tips?

What should I avoid?Any advice for someone over 30 backpacking for the first time?
There isn't much difference between staying in a hostel at 20 or at 80 - only the noise. As people get older, it seems tolerance for noise decreases.

Otherwise, just leave your age at home. I remember waking up in a group room in a Durban hostel one day to see an 80-year-old man getting ready to leave. He seemed perfectly at home and at ease - so in the end it'll be up to you.

My approach to backpaking (and I'm well over 30 and then some) is total immersion - in the country or region, and in the experience. I look for similarities and I enjoy the differences too. I try to meet as many people as I can, local people and backpackers. The more open I am with people, the more open they are with me, I find.

One practical tip I find useful is to take half the clothes I think I need - and twice the money. Leave most of your cash at home - bring a card or two. Keep it in a money belt or neck or ankle wallet. Keep in touch with friends or family back home - make sure you have a regular check-in schedule.

You should avoid the same things you would avoid at 20 or 50: going out at night alone, dark streets or parks, out of the way places, showing off your jewelry or money... just use the same basic common sense you would back home. Most places aren't any more dangerous than your own home town - and some probably even less so.

Have a wonderful trip!Any advice for someone over 30 backpacking for the first time?
We made our first backpacking trip in our late 30's when the children were grown up. The first thing we learnt was that we could not carry as much as we thought we could!! So, travel light. Discard everything that is not essential. We found hostels very welcoming and the younger people accepted us and were great fun (It probably helped that we like a beer). Just relax and enjoy yourself and don't be too judgemental about the younger backpackers you meet, they would be the first to help if you found yourself in trouble.
Don't go on your own, take a friend with you. It also depends where you are going. I stayed at the Generator Hostel in Russel Square in London and I had an absolute blast.

You meet the most interesting people. Have a great trip and enjoy yourself.PS Wish I was coming with you.
Hi there. There are a few tips. In most backpackers, usually there is a laid back attitude about lounging about in the lounge, sipping some beer and sharing some laughter. Most people over 30's however, seem to be more serious about whether this is fruitful to their stay there. It is up to you to decide then. You should avoid drunk people, that's all. Ensure you know emergency exits and the like, so ask the owner about these.

Any advice on becoming a permanent traveler?

I want to become a modern nomad, traveling country to country. Any advice on how to do this?Any advice on becoming a permanent traveler?
Work for an airline. You can travel almost for free.
  • how to apply
  • If your work involves extensive travel do you advice home schooling?

I dont have kids but i''ve thought about this alot and i'd like to ask it.

If i have to travel extensively around the world due to work and i have an excellent grounding in the education system up to pre-college level (and beyond in some) then would you advice Home Schooling? If your work involves extensive travel do you advice home schooling?
I'd give it a try, if you have the time and determination. Homeschooling takes about 15 hours a week, though your own planning and prep time will take much longer, and of course younger kids take far more supervision. It can be done anywhere in the world. It means your kids can go with you no matter where you end up moving. It means there are no ';gaps'; in their education due to moving mid-year, or moving to a place where they don't know the language. It means they'll generally have a better education than most American public school students get, for about 10% of what most schools spend per student.

If you have a good curriculum, you can do it anywhere, in any setting. I homeschooled a relative for grades 10-12, when the relative lived 2200 miles away from me, no problem.

And remember, if you're all that worried, start with preschool or kindergarten. Both are optional, not required. Give yourself a full school year to try it out. If it really doesn't work out, you can get the kid caught up during summer (use professional tutoring if needed) and into first grade without having to make him a year behind where he would have been.If your work involves extensive travel do you advice home schooling?
Home schooling is good, but not if there aren't any adults there to teach them. It kind of defeats the purpose of home schooling.
Many satates are now requiring lesson plans by homeschoolers to be submitted to them. Also, some states are also requiring that the ';teacher'; of a home schooler have no less than a college degree.

As for traveling, a home schooled child must take all standardized tests that public school children take for the same grade/age level at the same time as those public students. If you are out of town and a suitable proctor is not available....? Just things to contemplate.
Yes, but only if you take the kids with you. Life Experience is the best education. What an opportunity you would provide your children---seeing the world. Go for it!
Home schooling implies that you are at home to teach.. If you're off traveling, you can't be teaching. (Unless you bring the kids with you.)
I wouldn't advise anyone to home school who doesn't know the difference between advise and advice. or accept and except.
Home schooled all four of my own children, plus have taken in five other teenage boys who were having trouble in school.

One of the issues we hit with travel is that not all states, or countries, allow home schooling. For instance, we had to fight with the authorites when we were in Luxemberg for a year. The younger kids were OK, but my one daughter, who was a senior, was not permitted to be home schooled. She had to leave the country for three months (stayed with her grandmother) until she turned 18 and then could return to Europe and complete her schooling. Once she was over 18, the law did not apply.
If you feel you would have adequate time to school your child. Would the child be able to travel with you?
    not with your spelling anyway
Boardin school maybe , as humans we need others 2 inter act !
    no . schooling is better
no i never encourage that.schooling is best

Any advice for getting started as a writer?

I would like to become a published author, primarily in short stories first, then maybe working my way into novels later. I tend to favor science fiction and fantasy, though I could just as easily write fiction that takes place in modern times. I would appreciate any information on writers markets for soliciting stories, as well as any suggestions regarding the develpment of my skills. Thanks in advance.Any advice for getting started as a writer?
Two answers that have already been given are valuable: read, and write. Now, to expound on those. Read everything you can, including non-fiction and fiction outside your own genre. While you're reading, make notes on cards or paper. What does the author do that impresses you with plot and dialogue? How is scenery and mood handled? Does the author use a certain type of words that allow you to really the feel the book? Best of all, do you forget you're reading a BOOK? If you've forgotten, then it's a good one.

When you write you're own work, be careful not to copy, or plagerize. This, as you may know, is a huge NO-NO in the writing world. Find your own style, your own theme, your own voice, and stay true to it. This is easier said than done, but you will be able to say it's all yours.

I have a published novel,a handful of articles and another novel in the works, and if you'd like more detailed help, I'd be glad to assist.

Also I suggest visiting the following website for further help, resources, publisher help, markets for short stories and articles and a TON more!Any advice for getting started as a writer?
READ, READ, READ, READ, READ, READ,(everything)

    then go to school.
Very simple (and seriously, I'm not being flippant here): WRITE!
Read other books of the same genre to see what sort of quality people demand. The more you read the better you actual writing skill will become because you learn about sentence and paragraph structure. If you read a lot of one particular author you might even Begin to copy that authors style of writing. That happened to me, i read almost nothing but Stephan King and now i write in a similar way.

Most of all the best pieces of advice i can give you are these:

PRACTISE, PRACTISE, PRACTISE. The more you write the better you will become.

DON'T BE AFRAID. More specifically, don't be afraid to rewrite your work. it's simple, as soon as you've fined a story bin it and start writing it again from the beginning without looking at the old copy. You will find that the story gets better the second time around, in fact you will find the story keeps getting better even at the seventh time around.

This is because when you first write the story you are thinking up all the details from scratch, but when you come to it second time around some details are already in your head and that leaves you free to dream up more. this continues on and on as long as you want, only you can decide when it's good enough to send off to a publisher. from experience i would say around fifth or sixth draft.

There are so many websites with lots of sound advice all you have to do is look for them, use Google. Google is a writers godsend.
stop reading immediately, stop thinking after that....

and what would be left out.....

    To write ofcourse....

    besto!
Get inspiration. Relax, let the ideas come to you. Always remember to put emotion into your writing. You must write only what you believe in. Create a storyline first. You need to have a basic concept then slowly put the different parts together. Make a story frame or skeleton that can help you fill in details. Snippets when you feel like it also tend to be helpful. Oh, and research. Yeah, very very important.

Any advice for buying my husband a marine radio for his bass boat?

My husband is an aspiring bass amateur, who will be fishing in quite a few tournaments this summer. He does not have a radio on the boat, and I would like to purchase one for him for our one year anniversary. Good for him to have tunes while he fishes, and peace of mind for me knowing he can get the weather updates. He has a beautiful Nitro Bass boat, and I know I would like to have it be Sirius compatible, but other than that I am clueless as to what I should be shopping for. Any suggestions fellow boaters? Thanks so much!Any advice for buying my husband a marine radio for his bass boat?
There are a number of great radios on the market. Clarion, Jensen, %26amp; Sony ae a few brands. A brand - JBL - has several units that I have used and work well.

If he is going to install try an online catalog store like Overton's : http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/鈥?/a>

If you need someone to install I would suggest going to a local marine store or boat dealer and purchase it from them and have them install the unit. Just make sure it is a ';Marine'; AM / FM Satellite Radio.

and congrats on the anniversary!Any advice for buying my husband a marine radio for his bass boat?
buy him a nice boudoir set with garters give him what he wants, not what you hope to think he needs. if he needed a marine radio while fishing intensly connected to a tournaments grueling attention deficit disorder then if he can afford a bass boat he would have afforded a marine radio. you want the radio because you are bored while he is fishing so take your IPOD with you nex time.
I have seen a really nice marine specific unit on Alpine's website. They Might be a little pricey but are great stereos. They are satellite ready and have awesome full speed Ipod control so he won't need to mess with cd's. You should check it out. www.alpine-usa.com. Or www.crutchfield.com for lots of info on many other marine options.
seriously, he won't be playing music during tournaments.

are his navionics top of the line - there's almost always a GPS or map upgrade.

Any advice for a first timer in a yoga class?

Im planning to start taking a yoga class.

What should I take and what should I wear?Any advice for a first timer in a yoga class?
comfortable knit top and bottom. yoga mat, you can purchase one at most sporting goods shops, I think I even saw one at Walmart.

If you're like me when I started yoga, and really up-tight about doing something you know nothing about in front of a room full of strangers, then buy or check-out from library a beginners yoga book to get an idea. ...yoga will teach you to relax and not be so up-tight.

p.s. i don't eat too soon before yoga class because you tend to pass gas with all the relaxing and stretching (this is good, but can be embarrassing). just a tip.Any advice for a first timer in a yoga class?
Yoga is not just Asanas (poses) but a combination of Asanas, Bandhas, Mudras and Pranayama (breathing). You should checkout the Suggested Course for Beginners listed on this web site and make sure your instructor covers most of it. The holistic practice described here will give you the maximum benefit -

The mat: your feet will sweat, so make sure your mat is such that your feet won't slip during your practice.

The clothes: wear something comfortable, preferably loose and/or something that breathes

Eating/drinking: don't drink before or during practicing, as it can upset the stomach, but drink after wards so that the water can continue flushing out toxins. I wouldn't eat before i do yoga--wait an hour and a half after eating before practicing.

At home: no distractions, nice music, try an iTunes podcast for some video routines...that's were i got mine. and they're free!

A class: if you'd like to do a class, investigate about the teacher. certificate? school? etc.
Wear a tank top or close fitting t-shirt %26amp; yoga pants (or jammie pants without elastic ankles). No socks are needed.

Do not wear anything too loose fitting.

You need a yoga mat as well %26amp; a bottle of water.

Any advice for shipping a car from east to west coast?

I am so overwhelmed! I want to ship my car by train preferably from Maryland to Phoenix, Arizona. I have tried looking information up through google but it is a lot of information that seems like it will take forever and a day to sift through without much payoff.

Also, I only seem to be getting information for trucking companies which is really very expensive. Does anyone have any ideas where I can go and how much this will cost?

Please help!Any advice for shipping a car from east to west coast?
Some auto transporters will ship by train, but things are usually done by truck. There are limited routes that companies can use rail economically on. Going west out of Chicago and I believe Buffalo NY are two that come to mind as reasonable to ship a vehicle on.

Baltimore, MD has Penn Station, which is great for passengers, but vehicles are shipped on freight trains which operate rather differently. Here is kind of what I mean:

Freight trains operate in regions. For example one that is popular on the east coast is CSX. Service map at: https://www.csx.com/?fuseaction=about.ma鈥?/a>

They can work with other rail companies to ship in other areas without a problem. However, your vehicle is one of say 16 cars on the rail car. Each with different origins and destinations. So suddenly you can see how this becomes a logistical nightmare. On rail car, several different rail companies responsible for getting it to several different destinations to have one of 16 vehicles removed from within.

While rail is likely the future of car shipping, the future is unfortunately 10 years away. For now you are stuck with trucking a car ';vehicle transport'; or driveway, which as another answer mentioned is when you hire someone to drive it for you.

Vehicle transport is by far the most popular and in most cases it is the most economical.

Here is the simple process for you though.

    1. Check out the ratings and reviews of the auto transporters that have moved vehicle from MD to AZ on http://www.transportreviews.com/. Here is a link to the MD to AZ report: http://www.transportreviews.com/director鈥?/a>

It shows that the average transport with a 5 out of 5 star rated company is right at $1,000. Some are around $950, but it looks like the $1,000 range is most popular.

But check out the current prices. Get multiple quotes from up to 10 auto transporters at: http://www.autotransporter.com/ They get quotes from companies that are well ranked on Transport Reviews.com.

I wish I had a perfect solution for you, but unfortunately this is about it as far as moving a vehicle.

    Good luck.

Any advice on how to enter into the realestate investment buisness?

My dream is to become a realestate investor by means of Fixing out dated homes and selling them. I plan to take real estate classes and also get a small buisness degree. Is there anyone out there with wise advice for a girl who wants to make her dream come true? I live in Michigan and the housing market is as low as its been in 35 years so I plan on waiting to start this until the market begians to recover. I have already invested in a home for my family Getting a great deal due to the market. The house appriased at 125,000. I bought it for 90,000 on a land contract 4% interest. I am going to pay $500 a month toward princable for 5 years leaving me with about 60,000 owed. I paln on using the equity to begian investing in other propreties. Good Idea or bad?Any advice on how to enter into the realestate investment buisness?
That is a great idea.....Many RE investor's start this way....If you go into this business, you must have SOME capital....And if you sell your home in two years, you can reinvest that money into another home....If you do that every two years, in 6 years, you will have cash to buy a home....And enough capital to really launch your business.....Best of luck to you! You sound like you have a good sense of how the market works....Any advice on how to enter into the realestate investment buisness?
Why wait until the market begins to recover? You want to buy low, sell high.
Although buying your own house as your first investment is a good idea, some of the things you said can already get you in trouble. NEVER borrow and use your equity. You will always be fully finaced and lendors don't like it when you go to buy other properties if they see that you are always refinacing to pull out quick cash. This in my opinion is a SCHEME taught by television get rick quick real estate investors that want to get peoples attention in buying their programs. Another reason to this is when you sell there will not be any cash coming out from the property to pay your capital gains taxes and you will have to recapture all of that depreciation wriiten off over the years. If you're serious about RE investing, I would check out John T. reed (www.johntreed.com). This guy rates the RE investor gurus and has produced some excellent books, especially one of which is the best that deals with taxes. Good luck!
Seriously only need to do 3 things

1 Take real estate apprasial classes

2 hang out at lowes or home depot for 6 months and take all the classes and learn prices

3 ALWAYS find the highest priced house in the market and try to make youres better and 2-5 % cheaper and still profit

    YES ITS THAT EASY
Your plan is a good one. The key thing is that you're planning to add real value to the properties by fixing them up, you're not just going to wait for the market to make a profit for you. The latter can be a very unreliable way to make money. If I were you, I would make sure to learn as much as possible about the actual repair part of the business. The more you can do yourself, the better. At the very least, the more you know about what the work should cost, the better you will be at getting good quotes.

You should also consider owning rental property. If you know how to make repairs, or have access to good contractors, owning rental property can pay off in the long run. If you buy the property right and manage it aggressively and carefully, the rents you collect will pay for the mortgage and the operating expenses. Over the years, you will be paying down your mortgage with the rents and building up equity. It's a good long-term strategy for making money in real estate.

Finally, don't wait for the market to recover completely. The best deals will come when the market is at the bottom. That's when you want to buy. Good luck!

Need advice about moving out on my own?

I'm a college kid, and things at home really are not going well, so I'm considering moving out at some point in the not-to-distant future. What should I know? Also, anyone have any advice on where a person can live on a very low income? I'm fine during the school year, since I've got housing, and I've got a reccuring 1 month live in job during the summers, but beyond that, I'm not sure where I might be able to go. Any advice or pointers about this or anything related would be appreciated.Need advice about moving out on my own?
You should start saving money right now. First months rent + Last months rent + Security Deposit (usually a months rent) will be a big wad o' cash to lay down, especially if your not prepared for it.

As far as getting a place for the summers and winter breaks at school your best bet is to find someone in the area of your work who is looking for a roomate. That way you will not have to worry so much about the expense.Need advice about moving out on my own?
Whatever you do, don't get desperate for a roommate to help pay bills that you move in with someone you don't really know. Also, don't try to get cable, internet, or other extras that will put you in a bind.
Uhmmm--get a job. If you are old enough to be in college I think you should be out on your own. You may be able to live cheaply in a YMCA. You could join the military. Perhaps you can be an aide for some class that you are interested in. Maybe you could work for a few years and then go back to college.

How to get a older and a kitten to get used to a new home.ALL ADVICE.?

My dad, me and my sister may get a new home and we have two cat's , ones old and my kitten he's a month old .Any advice what I can get them used to our new house , I worry they will run off . And please dont be rude , thanks for all your help. And how long will they get used to it.How to get a older and a kitten to get used to a new home.ALL ADVICE.?
Be sure to take the litter box they are using now to the new house. That smell will help make it familiar.

Don't be surprised if your cats ';hide out'; for a day or so. My husband and I moved a few years ago, and one of our cats hid behind the refrigerator for four days. He would sneak out to eat at night and hide all day. Different cats react differently to new surroundings.

Just go on with your normal life and don't try to force the issue. They will adjust at their own speed and according to their own personalities. While the one cat was hiding behind the fridge, the others were curiously exploring their new surroundings. It's an individual thingie. How to get a older and a kitten to get used to a new home.ALL ADVICE.?
Putting catnip around the house eases the stress of a move. It may take a week or two for the older cat to adjust but once they see you are sleeping there etc. they will stay around your family.
just keep them with you for a while until they identify it as their new home the kitten won't care because its to young to remember but the older cat will so just showed its our new home and keep it with you for a while pretty soon it will understand especially when its sees your stuff in the house...
It's always good to take along some things that your cats recognize from the old home (a favorite piece of furniture, blanket, etc.) I don't know if your cats regularly go outside or if you're just concerned about them escaping when somebody opens a door, but it's best to keep them indoors at the new home until they adjust. To be extra safe, you can keep them in one particular room with their food, water, familiar toys and blankets, etc. for a few days, and gradually introduce them to other rooms. The average time for a cat to adjust to a new place is about a month, but the kitten will probably adjust faster, and it might take longer for the old cat.

What are some of your best tips and advice for writing poems?

All answers are apperciated. Thank you.

    Peace and Love,

NatalieWhat are some of your best tips and advice for writing poems?
Poetry is like Making love. It is intimate, beautiful and should only be done in public by people who are very good at it.

That is my first piece of advice. The problem with most poetry is that it is bad. There are only two kinds of people who write poetry, people who can't write a laundry list and people who are so amazing at the task, that they can write poetry. Most poeple use poetry as journaling, to regurgitate all the depressing, vile, maudlin stuff in their lives, but there are a lot of other things to write poetry about. About that perfect feeling you get when you are one with Nature, about the challenges of life, about love and erotisism, about politics, freedom, war, death. It must speak from the heart without being too effete. It can be playful and joyful or deep and moving. For such a restrictive form, it is incredibly flexible. Before you write freeform, you must learn to use meter. This will give you an ear. The best Rockstars had some musical training - many of then went to Julliard. The best poets also study their craft and get good at several forms. There is a cadence that all good poetry has, it all sounjds musical. Allen Ginsberg had a wonderful sence of pacing in his poetry. You should READ poetry, all kinds from Shakespeare to Sylvia Plath, Byron, Keat, Yates, Longfellow, Shelley - all of those people and more. You should find what you want to say, who touches you. I suggest you might like the Rossettis. They are romantic. Also, Browning.

All the while, continue to write and really critique your work, find a good critic- someone who will be honest but not hurtful. The most important part, though is that you must LIVE. You must take risks and get your heart broken and be absolutley in love. You must know hardship and abundance and every other thing life has to offer and youmust love every moment of your life and live in that moment so you can tell other people around you.

Had Sandberg not been in the world that Snowy night, in that single, perfect moment, there would have been no ';For I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep';. You must be this, too, conscious of the world around you, feeling and being in your own life.

I hope this helps. What are some of your best tips and advice for writing poems?
just write what is in your hart find your own still and do i write a lot of poetry
you have to write what is within your soul....................................鈥?that's kinda hogwash. i mean, it does work...sometimes but as an artist i just write what feels good.

writing can be therapy. when you are going through a hard life situation, write about it. when your energies aline everything will flow. it has nothing to do with the soul and everything with are and emotion. the soul is way back in your brain cavity sleeping. the emotions are what's active in your head. use them. listen to them. but also constrain them so they're not random and they render what you need.
Check out a book from the library about writing poetry. Invest in a Rhyming Dictionary, a Thesaurus and study the different forms of poetry. Get a book of poems by

the American poet Robert Frost. His imagery is wonderful. He was awarded the Pulitzer four times and read a poem at President Kennedy's inauguration in 1961. You could learn so much just reading his poetry.
What I do is I write when I have somethings on my mind. i write abut my friends, family, and ME! ive won 1st place in my state on one of my poems. It was about my best friend. luv her. I also won 1st in my city because of my other poem. It was about my grandma. She died the week before. hope I helped!
Well when I try to write a poem I always try to rhyme!
Learn enough about meter to write lines that scan. Use true rhymes, not just words that are close. Practice using alliteration. Practice using assonances (similar vowel sounds for mood.

Once you know the rules, you will know when you should break them, but never do it for convenience, only becaue it is the right thing to do.

    Put your heart in it.

You will write a great deal of very bad verse before you begin to write poetry, but it is worth the effort.

Peace and Love to you, too!

Need advice with bathroom tile floor and toilet issue?

I am redoing a bathroom (repaint, upgrade, etc.). I am going to replace the linoleum flooring with ceramic tile flooring. I am also going to replace the existing toilet. I am thinking that before i install the new toilet, that I should install the flooring to surround the toilet drain pipe, allowing the toilet flange to rest on top of the new flooring, and THEN install the toilet.

Is this the best way to go?? The only option i can think of would be to go ahead and replace the toilet onto the floor, and then cut the tile to go around the toilet instead of under it. This seems like it would not look right.

Please give advice. Feel free to be detailed with advice too, but try to keep the terminology simple. Thanks in advance for any help.Need advice with bathroom tile floor and toilet issue?
That is absolutely the ONLY/Best way to proceed. Anyone stating different is certainly entitled to their opinion, but assume for a moment that you cut (sigh) and tile around the toilet,,,then 5 years from now, you want to keep the floor but change the toilet. If it doesn't have the same ';footprint'; then Uh OH,,,ooops. then what.

Actually you don't even need to raise the Drain flange. Just use a wax ring with a longer/deeper, rubber flange embedded in the wax.

I've remodeled more baths than most anything else, and set multiple thousands of sq. ft. of tile. If asked to cut around a toilet, I'd probably refuse the job.

Steven WolfNeed advice with bathroom tile floor and toilet issue?
Yes that is the way to do it. We just finished putting tile on the floor in bath room in a walk in basement and that is exactly what we did. It's much easier fitting the tile. My husband just said if you need more space use two sealer wax rings instead of one, it works fine. Good Luck we had a lot of fun doing ours.
Yes, do the tile first. Use ';wonder board'; or hardi backer, then thinset and then the tile. You'll need a ';closet flange'; extension to raise the drain enough for the toilet. Make sure the floor is level then start in the middle of the floor so the edges come out even. Hope this helps.
you are correct, install your new flooring first

then install your new toilet on top

I just redid my bathrooms the same way this summer
    Tile first.

Is your tile square or rectangular?

Is your bathroom big or small?

    Is it square or rectangular.

What about the bath tub?Are you gonna change as well?

What about the basin? Are you gonna change as well?

You have to explain more detail though.

I can help but pls put more details.

    Thanks
Your first idea is the proper way. Also gonna make it easier to cut the tile. because the cut's aren't gonna have to close tjhat accurite
The toilet should most definately be removed prior to putting down new tile. Use a 4'; grinder with a diamond wheel to cut the tile in around the toilet flange (http://images.acmehardware.com/200x200/5鈥?/a> Try to stay as close to the flange as possible so you dont have and bare spots once the toilet is back in place. Toilet flanges have a 7'; diameter and you can cut out a 7'; circle out of cardboard to make a template for tracing onto the tile.
you dont need to fit the tile that close to the toilet flange , just make sure it is under the toilet edge. You will need to drill for the toilet mounting bolts.

There are flange extender plates and there are the wax seals in larger (thicker) sizes

Your first way is better . You should be able to find a book on renovations at your local library. The people in places like home depot cam also help with what you need .
Do your new floor leave flange as is cut tile out enough to leave room for flange bolts the foot print of toilet covers this part of floor, DO NOT USE RUBBER RING use one thick wax ring with horn and another wax ring with out horn, try to stay away from spacers, they will leak aftertime but if you use plastic spacers do,nt use silicone beteewn them use wax smeer a good coating of wax from a extra ring to the spacer, this will last longer than silicone, go on line how to re %26amp;re a toilet
The neatest way and the best seal would be to raise the drain flange over the tile. You would then have to drill down through the tile to attach it to the subfloor. You may want to consult an expert.
DUH! of course you should tile first.
yes definitely, tile under the toilet is the best way to go, most people when installing tile in a bath will go ahead and take the toilet up and replace the wax ring, just to ease the install. why make more cuts, very precise cuts at that if you dont have to. the cut to make the hole for the flange will be the toughest. also just some food for thought look at floor warming systems it is so worth it. pretty easy to install. hope this helps, good luck.
Yeah you are right install the tile first and then put the toilet in. You might need to get an extender. Go to the Home Depot and tell them what you are doing and ask them to give you what you need. They will help you out.

Well, I can't tell you everything you need to know cause then this would be 50 pages long. What I can suggest is first do a market survey. This can also be a tool to help you find out if your business is viable.

Create a business plan. This is a usefull tool with banks if you want a loan and even customers. It will also help you stay on task and see how your business is progressing.

Research all your competitors. If there are too many, then your chance of business success is slim and may not be worth the risk, if you find that there isn't much competition or that there is a gap in your market, then you proceed and have a greater chance of success.

Most business' fail due to no growth or slow growth, but the opposite is true as well. Try not to grow too fast otherwise you will find that you can't keep up with the demand and fail. Don't be afraid to say no.

nothing. because if you hit on him your friend will be mad. find another guy to love.Advice????
Just go with the flow....if your friend knows you like him. If it gets too far with the boy %26amp; your friend, talk it over with your friend. You don't want to start a catfight with a good friend=]

    hope that helped=]
    Don't

do any thing just hang in there and see witch one of you

he likes the best. Cut up with him and taulk to him you may wind.
How close are you to this friend? It's kind of girl code of conduct that if you know your friend likes a boy, you don't make a move for him. If you two are really close, you could tell her how you feel, but make it clear that you respect that he is her territory. If your feelings are true, then maybe eventually she'll get over him and you can make a move, but not for a very long time. And if not, it wasn't worth risking a friendship over. Good luck! :)
Go for it. She knew too. That's not fair!
Hi, does the boy seem to like your friend?
    tell her
    Well it's a showdown now................so................

.Find out who this guy likes...you or her.

.Then you'll know whether or not he's worth persuing anymore.

    .There you have it.

    .Start asking.
if you like him more than your friend then tell your freind about this. if she s a gd freind then you 2 can work this out.

if you liek your freind more tell her but dont date him
maybe you should tell him how you feel about him, at least you'll know what he feels about you, and if he returns your feelings then the both of you can continue to be together. if he doesn't, then i guess it's not such a bad thing, at least you know that you can turn over a new leaf and look for someone else better who loves you and you love him too.

good luck and all the best to you:)))
First off, if everyone knows, it's not a secret. You guys are allowed to like the same guy, there is no rule about that. it's how you handle it. Tell your friend that you like him too. If she gets to a point where she views you as competition, you have to make a choice him or your friend (if you're at an age where you're posting this question, you should choose your friend). My final word on this topic, never become competition for another girl if you can help it. If a guy is really into you, you won't have to compete.

    Advice????

what advice can you give to someone who wants to go into law as a career but is only 12?Advice????
Please get your self familiarized with the basic concepts of Law , particularly consumer laws and contract laws.,Then study companies act, Income tax etc.

Please read the gist of judgments that are published in News papers.Advice????
First bit of advice -- keep a very high grade point -- it's tough to get accepted into law school.

Work on your reading comprehension skills. Tons of reading involved in becoming an attorney. Work on your grammar and English skills, too. Important to be able to write well.

Take classes in public speaking. You must be able to handle yourself well in front of a crowd.

Study history. Read. Read. And read some more. Take all the advance courses you can take at each level of school.
now you see only detective movies and read only detective novels. Also play mind games like chess, solve puzzel which will make your mind more sharp then waite for your completion of school then join some good law college........
    -Keep Organized

    -Use proper grammar

    -Be Clean

    -Know the law

    -Study the law

-Make sure to be good at math

    -Dress well

    Good luck!=]
It depends on what aspect of law you want to go into....an attorney, paralegal, secretary or a law enforcement officer...

Don't believe everything you watch and/or read...it isn't as glamorous as depicted in novels and/or tv (or movies).

Just study hard, make good grades, and get into a good university, which will help you get into a good law school.

If you want to go into law enforcement, you may join the Explorers program in your local police department (or sheriff's department).

EDIT: What type of attorney do you want to be? You may check with local law firms when you are in high school (at least 16 years old) to see if there are any unpaid internships. Also, the District Attorney's Office in your county may have internships/clerkships for high school students. That way, you can see how criminal law is.
well, i would say that you need to start learning a lot of things for being what you want, look online, learn speacial things about it, take online quizzes, when you get into highschool they will have speacial groups, just for the job you want, people are going to start to say ';oh your going to change your mind next month on a different job'; but if you really want this then prove everybody wrong, just dont listen to them and you will end up going the right way. get advice from people in that area. just look forward to the things you want.
u still gotta long way to go before u make a decision. When i was 12 i wanted to be a fireman then wanted to be a cop. I ended up being a manager of Mcdonalds lol. Just kiddin im a lawyer.

    Advice???????????

Me and my boyfriend *BOB* are going to my friend *JULIE'S* b-day party and i want to know if the party would be the right time for me and *BOB* to kiss?? and I mean on the lips. PLEASE be serious about this!Advice???????????
I dont think you should be cause it is supposed to be *JULIE'S * day and she is supposed ti have all of the attention on her, but if you and *BOB* kiss all the attention will be on yall, then *JULIE'S* fun time will be ruinedAdvice???????????
I suggest you kiss him when there is a song where everyone is dancing and he ask you to dance or if he doesn't kiss him because no one well notice they would be to busy dancing.
If you're at least a teenager, then sure kiss him. Don't do anything else yet though. Enjoy the kissing for a long time before you do anything else. Kissing is great!
Why not? at least it would be in a great place! I got my first kiss in school.... but damn he was good!
    Well how should we know?

If you feel that you're ready and he feels the same, then go for it!
    Nope

    =[[

I don't think that a birthday party has the right setting for a first-time kiss. It should be somewhere more romantic and less quiet -- like a school dance or a park in the evening or something, but definitely not a loud birthday party!
if u like him and he likes u, then anytime is ready!
i think you should kiss him when/whereever you damn well please.if you love him then let the world know, just dont be a sl.ut about it,nobody likes that.but let people know that you love him and your proud of it.

    Advice!!!!?

i want to become a Psychologists. is it a good money maker?Advice!!!!?
if you are going into the field to make money, you are choosing the wrong career - while you can make good money with a PHD, usually with a master's you only make 40-65K a year depending where you are in the country and depending on if you work for the state or have a private practice.

if you want to go into this field, it needs to be because you have the desire to help people and make their lives better. a PHD program is INCREDIBLY competitive and extremely hard to get into - so you can't bank on that for a high salary.Advice!!!!?
if u will be good in that yes it makes very money. but do not decide about ur way by price. u cost more
I'm in the field. I'm not a Psychologist, but I can tell you Psychiatrists make more money because they can prescribe medications. Psychologist probably make $55-65,000 per year. BUT..the huge drawback is that you never leave your work. Your entire life is consumed by others people's problems and eventually...you will start to develop your own personal problems and may end up treating your family members like your patients. It's a very hard divide separating work from your personal life.
Of course it is. You would make even more if you became a psychiatrist.
If your only reason for wanting to be a Psychologist is the Money, I suggest you re-think your motives...
it's great money there are a lot of people who (aren't crazy or delusional) but need some one to talk to, and it's even better if you get your phd.

Am taking that class right now its really fun to talk about human behavior if thats what you want to become go for it it makes really good money am doing it because i want to become an FBI so am taking it as requirement and ilike it.
Yes-a great money maker if you find the right niche. But you should do it for a love of people and helping other people--not money. That makes a bad psychologist. It's a lot of schooling so you'll be spending money to make money.
Can you deal with listening to people whine and b*tch all day, every day, month in and month out? If yes, go for it. If you're good, you'll make money.
Yepper, but make sure you are a good candidate for it, you r dealing w/ peoples lives.
yeah but you gotta be half way crazy
    Yeah, it is.
Yes, but you can make even more money by becoming hypocrite. Just ask Dr. Laura Schlessinger.
yea and if it's your dream yea =]
    yes
